A good affordable table for reading etc.
Overall, this is a good, affordable (lowend) Android tablet, with some extra nice features. This is NOT a highend tablet like iPad Air, nor is it an e-ink e-Reader like Kindle Scribe, both of which are way more expensive than this. The intended users of this device: those who want to read a lot, but are not very sensitive to the front light vs back light things (like those who can use their computer for hours), prefer a lower price, like to have a device that can do more than just reading, and occasionally take a handwritten note or scratch. Compared with a 10" e-ink device like Kindle Scribe: + Much faster, no matter how fast your e-ink device is. Better color. Cheaper. Open ecosystem (not limited to Kobo or Kindle). Can do everything a tablet can besides reading. - Back light may irritate people who cannot stare at devices like computer screens or TV, one charge only lasts for 1 day or 2, instead of several weeks, no native integrated features when taking notes (like with Kindle Scribe you can put a hand written note in the middle of a book.), the Note feature is limited (like no auto sync with Google Doc). Compare with other tables: + Affordable. The screen is much less reflective, so that I can read in bright env with no problem at all. (But I heard a matte screen protector may give you similar results. I have never used that, though.) The stylus can be attached with a magnet and has buttons, pressing which can change the pen mode to eraser. - CPU not powerful (but I do not feel anything, as I do not play very graphical, fast-changing games), the speakers are not good, sounding like a small plastic radio. My 5-year-old Lenovo P11 (same price range) sounds like a Bose when compared with this tablet. The volume control button is just one - one side up and one side down. I would prefer 2 separate buttons. The case came with it has a place for the stylus, which is good, but the footprint of it is quite big when holding this device standing, not convenient (like when I watch Youtube on it when cooking.).

A great tablet overall
A great little tablet for what I bought it to do - reading and light Internet / gaming (think Angry Birds, rather than something more resource consuming) while winding down for the night in bed. It's definitely not the fastest tablet out there and there is some lag when starting some apps, but once the apps launch, they run smoothly overall. This tablet will never be my "daily driver", but it gets five stars because it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Very easy on the eyes, especially at night and battery life is excellent. Its matt screen also hides fingerprints very well!

Out of the way kindle, this is better for now
Okay I bought this because of chronic headaches caused by my kindle. I've been a stout kindle only for many years from the days of kindle hdx which was the best and still is in my opinion. I have a couple things to say. Shipping was fast and accurate. All accessories work as advertised. I've never used a matte screen before and it's taking some getting used to. The glare when in dark mode is annoying as heck. But this is literally like a book and pages are normally white and it works best that way. Very fast and responsive. Screen feels so interesting when swiping when reading. No finger prints and speakers are awesome. Playing with the sizing is fun cause when it says huge it means it. I've only had it or a day and this was a birthday gift to myself I had to wait for prime day to get since I researched the heck out of this after seeing one ad. I was going to get the 11 plus from Walmart but this is the better deal. Micro SD card is not compatible with one from the fire tablet 10 plus tho so that's a bummer. No complaints yet and no headaches either. The vision technology is really fun and I like the android environment . The pen is interesting to and it makes my writing look like it does on normal paper. I've tried a apple pen and tablet before and wanted to scream. Writing on glass sucks. I'm not a drawer so how it works with sketching I'm not sure but seems like it would be good. Reading webtoons, manga, books, web articles is awesome. Very happy with purchase may update later.

I kept it but wish it boots up faster.
Nice tablet. I would have given it 5 stars except for how slow to boot up.

Great For Reading and More
I bought this primarily for reading because the typical bright screens tire my eyes sooner than I'd like. Using the ink paper mode of this tablet truly lets me read for much longer times than I even expected. That ability alone makes this device worth the price. If this capability is what you're looking for, I think you'll be quite happy with the ink paper mode. But the other two modes work well too, and will also contribute to getting more on-screen time, or more comfortable time when you are using it due to the engineering of the screen. The claims really work. The TCL skin on this Android 15 OS is pretty well designed and offers a lot of features with things like full color drawing, voice-to-text, and a host of others. Too many to go into detail here. With 8GB ROM and 128 RAM, it's snappy and I've been surprised to find it so capable. The 4 speakers sound very good. Photos and video are only passable as you might expect for this price. It's not too heavy and the quality of construction is quite good. It has a large 8000 mAh battery which provides a lot of use before needing to be recharged. It doesn't look cheap, but is actually fairly handsome. All said, I've been very happy with this tablet. For the price, it's worth the money and a 5 star review.

Expect the unexpected
TCL has stepped it up with this model. I love the screen and how you can switch between paper style and back to the original screen. The pen is ready to use and is perfectly responsive. They design is very comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. The only thing that kinda made me pout was the micro sd tray. Wasn’t expecting that lol, I thought it was a sim tray, service would have made it even better. The memory could be better but you are able to get a card. All in all, excellent device and a great gift for anyone needing a tablet. Have not tried gaming on it, so I don’t know how powerful it is in that regard.
