I have put findings, accent beads and gemstones in all of the plastic containers. I keep it on my workbench so I have all of my "fast movers" nearby when I'm working on a design. It is made of a thin plastic so it dos feel a little cheap but it spins great so I can easily access one of the containers. I may order a 2nd one to keep just pearls and crystals in to keep handy. You can fit quite a bit into the round containers. They are about the size of a hockey puck if that helps at all. I highly recommend! Review: Unempressed - I don't understand the customer comments stating they are EASY to remove? Maybe I have the wrong tower? The tower itself is very flimsy (bendable) plastic and removing the clear containers you have to really pull at them (push from underneath, pull from top) to get them out or rather to pop them out, not user friendly for ladies with fingernails they don't want to ruin. They snap shut not screw on so if you don't close it all the way or tightly, there goes all your beads! Since the containers sit inside the tower you don't have a clear view of what is in the container unless it is completely full, so poor viewing ability & unreasonable expectations. I would also prefer a handle on the top so you could use it for storage AND for transporting, unfortunately you don't have that option. So you have to use both hands to lift on the flexible plastic tower to move it around, very uncomfortable on those sharp edges and inconvenient. However, this is a flimsy piece of junk. I didn't realize the clear holders have a flip open lid, rather than a solid screw style lid. The clear holders are flimsy and some have rough edges. The black plastic holder is really my complaint. I didn't even consider that the plastic holder could be a flexible plastic. It is stiffer than a plastic folder that I buy my kids for their school classes, but not as stiff as a disposable tupperware food container. When you remove or replace a clear plastic cup, the holder bends. The design for the holder is fine.
