Blue Wave Easy Pool Steps for Above Ground Pools

Definitely easier to climb than traditional above ground pool ladders. Pretty easy to assemble. We did fill w pea gravel. Railings are a little wobbly. They serve the purpose tho.

A great purchase. I was a little concerned when I read other people saying that they thought they were a little flimsy. I think if you just snap everything together the way it's supposed to and take your time they are Rock solid. It's true the zip ties on the bottom seem insufficient when it's out in the air. But once you fill it with pea gravel like the instructions say they stay Rock solid. Worth every penny.

Looks nice and easy to put together but will not stay together. We put in pool and caps stated coming off. Next the bottom riser come off. Today the whole thing came apart when our guest were getting out of the pool. It was in pieces in the pool. The caps were in the skimmer. I’m going to see if they will take it back. I would suggest you not buy it. It’s going to be hard to break down the handrails uprights since you have to drive them into sockets. It’s not stable or durable.

Was easy to put together but had difficulty keeping bottom snaps in place. Finaly got them secured. Only dislike is the feet or runners it’s held in place by zip ties 2 on each side. Not a deal killer it works

These stairs are amazing. As long as you follow the directions, they are perfect. I did not fill them stones because I have to be able to lift them back out, but I did buy the bags I could fill with bricks to help hold them down. It took some rocking back in forth in the initial putting them in to get the extra air out but once that was done they did not float up. I also used the stabilizers and screwed them to the wood for added stability. These are so much better than trying to climb a sketchy ladder. I use them in my above ground 18'x48" and the height is PERFECT!

First the pros: they were easy and straightforward to assemble, and they seem fairly durable. The issue is that it is made up of all hollow pieces, and the whole thing is very buoyant. There are tiny holes for water to replace the air, which takes a lot of effort pushing them underwater during installation because of how small the holes are and how long it takes for air to come out. I am very anxious about removing these for the winter, because lifting them when they are full of water will be nearly impossible. I will probably have to jump in and disassemble them within the pool to get them out, and then climb out somehow. Once they are full of water they still require 50 lbs to weigh down. update: I increase my rating by a star because they weren't that hard to get out assuming you don't fill them with gravel. It still required quite a bit of strength but I was able to lift them with help from one other person. As you lift them out it helps a lot to use the side of the deck as a ramp if possible. I didn't drill out the holes to be bigger like a lot of other people. There is no shelf in the back for weights, the instructions say you need to get 50 lbs of gravel and pour it into the sides after it's in the pool. If you do this you will probably need a crane to get them out for winter and to lower them back in. I will probably end up buying some of those bag weights to put around the handrail poles. It should be disclosed prominently in the listing that these require 50 lbs of weight not included. Design would be much better with bigger holes for draining the water/air out, and have a shelf in the back for weights. I guess those are my DIY projects for next year, I didn't realize they would have so much buoyancy. update: the bag pool weights are kinda mandatory but they do solve the issue and keep them stable.

The stairs came on time and perfectly described! There were a couple items in the box that I thought I forgot to put on, but this particular one comes with parts for a couple different applications, so don't panic if you have left over parts, too, lol! Directions were easy to follow and once I got it together I just placed it in the pool so it could fill with water. (I didn't use sand). For us, a 4X4 (I think 24" long) piece of wood was perfect to put under the support arms (that face away from the pool at the bottom of the ladder hand-rails when you are entering the pool, the support arms that you secure to the deck of your pool) because we have weird rails on our above ground pool, so we could only lower them so far. The 4X4 fit perfectly. I secured the wood to the deck, and secured the support arms to the 4X4. Works perfectly for a family of four and has stayed in place and doesn't wobble. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a set of steps into our inground pool that were wide and sturdy. We are so happy with this purchase.

Did everything the manufacturer suggested including adding sand to the rails for weight, sand seeps out makes a mess in the pool, will have to replace this year. Junky plastic!

Thanks so much! We assembled the step and it looks great! We can't try it out as the water in our pool seems to think it needs to freeze here in the middle of the winter. I hope it can stand up to our climbing in and out of the pool in June. Love it!

easy installation, great for the price

Works really well and sturdy. Our pool hieght is 52” and works good.
