Very good thermometer! I needed to replace my old one which was very inaccurate. This one is so easy to use and seems very durable. I think it's a good value for the price and I love that it's magnetic so I stick it right on my fridge. Can't attest to the battery life as yet or how waterproof it is, but it's very accurate. I used it to check the water for my homemade bread and it read the temp immediately.

I love that this digital thermometer has a magnet on the back. I place it on my refrigerator side which is very convenient. It is easy to read, little weight, perfect griping size. Easy to clean, all you have to do is close and it automatically turn itself off. It is well made. With the long probe it is very accuracy, easy to use. I use it often in cooking. It takes the guesswork out of is it done . I used it the see how hot my water was for the yeast to activate. It was perfect. I personally would not immerse it in water to wash. I am not sure it is water proof. I do immerse the probe in hot soapy water and wash it thoroughly. I have not had the thermometer long enough to tell you about the life of the battery life. I would recommend to my friends and family.

It is easy to use and reads quickly, but I am suspicious. If I cook a small roast for under an hour, this usually read about 178 degrees. I was looking for 145 degrees. But if I cook it much less, the meat is undercooked.

looks good, works great, well designed and even has a magnetic backing so you can stick it somewhere handy like a range hood or refrigerator door. The first thing I did to prove accuracy was to boil some water in a pan on the stove and test it. It registered 211.8. I believe the difference between that number and the boiling point of 212 degrees is due to the elevation here which is low, so it seems very accurate. The display is large and bright, so very easy to read. Results were instant. A great value at a low price, and I highly recommend it.
