I expected a few example problems with solutions steps but this just has word questions. No explanation on how to solve. It kind of fits CBSE grade 5 math level but questions in whole numbers section are too few. It is also too expensive for just word problems. You can get worksheets off the Internet. Not worth the price.

I have bought couple of Kumon and they are good. They are really helpful during the school year as well as for practice in break. It prepares kids for next session.

My boy struggles with maths problems that are worded, yes, worded maths problems like story problems. But kumon has such kind of books so I've been buying these word problems, it takes patience to digest and luckily Kumon's books repeat a lot. This is actually an advantage for kids who struggle so they can practice again and again. Love this book!

fast delivery.I buy kumon books for my daughter in all subjects that are available.she enjoys doing them (most of the times).these are very structured books and fun to do.t.she just finished year 4 this and moving to year 5.she improved a lot since she has been doing kumon books.in her final report she did 4c and 4b in all subjects. she used to go to kumon centre,she did not liked it and found it boring.more important that we had to pay £50 for each subject. now we do not have to travel to the centre and he can work on these books at her paste.very pleased.I would recommend them

This is a great book for a kid that struggles with word problems. My daughter is great at math, but word problems always throw her off. This book has been very beneficial.
