What type of litter sand is good for this tray

I use bentonite sand for this litter box as it carries out the clumps really well. But I've read that you can also use pine-litter as it is healthier for your cat, but the process for that is slightly different and since I couldn't find pine easily in Chennai I'm still using bentonite and it works well.

Does this work well with cocopeat litter?

If cocopeat clumps and doesn’t break easily then yes
