Quality & trusted brand
Carhartt is a trusted brand that has been around since 1889! That definitely says something about the quality of their merchandise! As expected when purchasing Carhartt items, these gloves are durable and well made. They can withstand cold temperatures by keeping hands warm and dry. I ordered these for my partner - whose current gloves were not keeping his hands warm in Midwest winter weather. They couldn't even withstand scraping the ice and snow off the car windshield! The first size I ordered had to be returned because they were a little snug. Therefore, if you are debating which size to order, I'd select the larger one. Bottom line, these gloves protect your hands from the elements. Again, because of the brand, I think the price is reasonable.

These gloves are the real deal
Excellent gloves. Heavy, warm, waterproof and fit nicely. I suspect I will be using these for many years.

Warm, Durable, and Reliable โ but Not Perfect for Every Condition
The Carhartt Waterproof Insulated Knit Cuff Gloves are a solid cold-weather work glove that performs well in real-world use and has also been featured in durability discussions and testing-style comparisons like those inspired by channels such as Project Farm, where build quality, insulation, and waterproofing are typically stress-tested. In practice, these gloves are built for cold, wet, outdoor work conditions, and they do a good job at what theyโre designed for. The waterproof insert helps keep hands dry, and the insulation provides decent warmth for snow shoveling, light construction work, and general winter use. The grippy synthetic palm is useful, especially when handling tools or wet surfaces, and the knit cuff helps keep snow and wind out, which is a big plus in harsh weather. That said, performance isnโt perfect. A common issue (also echoed in user feedback and durability-style evaluations) is that the inner lining can sometimes shift or feel damp after extended use, and once sweat builds up, they can take a while to dry. Some users also find that fit can be slightly tight or inconsistent between sizes. So while they perform well overall, they are not the โbulletproofโ winter glove some might expect from the Carhartt name. Pros: -Waterproof insert keeps hands dry in snow and wet conditions -Good insulation for cold-weather work -Strong grip for tools and outdoor tasks -Knit cuff helps block wind and snow -Durable construction overall Cons: -Can feel tight depending on sizing -Inner lining may retain moisture and dry slowly -Not ideal for high-dexterity tasks -Warmth drops in extreme sub-zero conditions Overall: A dependable winter work glove that balances warmth, waterproofing, and durability well. Great for general outdoor use and light labor in cold weather, but not the best option for extreme cold or precision tasks.

Work as well as my old $70 gloves, but wish these came in women's sizes.
Pros: These gloves are pretty warm, comfortable and relatively water resistant. Stays dry when clearing a lot of snow off of your car. I live in Chicago and we just recently came off of another few days of -29 wind chill. Eventually your hands get cold even wearing the gloves, but warm enough to prevent frostbite. I use forearm crutches to walk, so I'm unable to put my hands in my pockets while walking, they are constantly exposed to the temperatures. But these gloves hold up as well as my old $70 LLBean winter gloves. Cons: These gloves just feel bulky, which is why they are warm, but, they don't come in women's sizes. The fit is probably why they are a little awkward to wear. I have to take my glove off to do anything such as unlocking and locking my car, using my phone or anything that takes any dexterity. I can't get any touchscreen functionality. It might be because of the fit because I'm a woman wearing men's gloves. But warmth is my biggest need, so I'll just deal with it. I have yet to wear any very warm gloves that works on my phone, only the regular gloves work that way for me. They also have a clip that anchors the gloves to each other which is nice, but it would have been nicer to have the old fashioned string that goes through your sleeves so when you take them off like they ones my mom used to use for us as small children so they didn't get lost. The gloves are too bulky to just shove them in your pocket when you take them off without a strong possibility of losing them. i think I'm going to look for clips and make them myself. So, if you just want gloves to protect your hands in the very cold and don't want to spend $80+, these Carhartt gloves work.

Nice Gloves
Purchased for my husband as a gift. Measured his hands ahead of time, and they fit well, once on. They are difficult to pull on, but hoping they will stretch or heโll become more used to them over time. We went to a local store and he tried on a size โlargeโ but it was too large, so this is the right size - it just is snug to get on. Really beautifully made and nice warm gloves, though.

Ok for what it is.
Will it keep your hands warm in 5 degree weather in 35 mph winds after 3 hours? Nope. Does it do a pretty good job keeping them warm in warmer temps with less wind? Yep. Not artic gloves but good enough and will take a beating. Feels like the insulation is a little light in the fingers, but on a 20 degree day with no wind I am fine for a couple of hours.

Best Gloves Ever
Quite possibly the best pair of gloves I have ever owned. My hands are very big and these fit perfectly. They have yet to not keep my hands warm even while shovelling in -25 degrees. Love them
