When I say package, I only mean packaging. Looked like someone had opened it ahead of time. This caused me concern, but as I checked the cordage it was close to the full length. Off only by a few inches which may have been my own errors in measuring, and with no visible damage.When contacting the company to inform them of the condition of the parcel, they were quick to respond, but lack the thoroughness which will end up requiring further communications.If you have the money, and the desire for such a product, then I don't see a reason you should not buy it. Now that I have it, for what it is, I will not likely be buying more. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expensive but may be quite handy in an emergency *by A***I on Reviewed in Canada on 8 July 2016* Yes this cord is relatively expensive. However, it's of good quality. It's like standard paracord but features an extra "fire" strand. This fire strand is very similar to a candle wick. In an emergency you can pull out some of this strand from the casing, fluff it up and it lights on fire (catches sparks from a flint) quite easily. Because of the price, I don't use it as main cordage in my paracord projects but rather incorporate small lengths of it into them.You really don't need a lot of the fire strand for starting a fire in a pinch.
