This headset offers great control using the touch sensor on the headset. (i.e Play, pause, next track). Sound modes or EQ would be adjusted in the phone or source.

Can you sleep with them in?

Yes, you can. They usually don't stay in my ear though the whole night. But to me, these are great budget earbuds. I don't buy the most expensive anything these days because I always break stuff, lol.

I have panasonic cordless telephone with Bluetooth capability, will these work with my telephone?

Yes you can you use it with any Bluetooth ready device. I've used it with my tablet and my phone so far without any problems.
