It works well enough, but has some difficulty sharpening some pencils. The pencil shavings collect in a small receptacle, but it is narrow and you have to empty it over the garbage. It sharpens the tri write pencil as well as regular pencils. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star is because it eats up one side of the pencil more than the other and it gets sharp really quickly. Take your time learning how to use it and it will be worth the money.
