Bought for Ridgid rotary tool
Purchased for a Ridgid rotary tool that needed a bigger collet. Fits perfect and works as expected. If you have the bigger 4mm multipurpose bits this will work.

Comparison to Dewalt
Like many of you, I came here looking for collet sizes compatible with the DeWalt DW660… because, while DeWalt does sell a 5/32" collet, it costs three times as much as this whole kit. And why? They are mostly compatible. The collets aren't identical, but they have the same length and the same outer diameter (~8.9mm). They are interchangeable from what I can tell, which is to say the RotoZip collets work fine in the DeWalt tool. I'm not sure why the DeWalt collet is machined to a slightly smaller diameter at the ends. The nuts have the same hex size and the same threads, but the RotoZip nut is a bit longer and the DeWalt nut has the corners of the hex nut turned off for part of the length to accommodate their chuck system. Thus, while a DeWalt nut would likely work on a RotoZip, the RotoZip nut does not fit on the DeWalt chuck, though it could be easily modified to do so with a lathe, or even a file assuming you don't need it to be pretty. The RotoZip components are made in USA, which is nice. Keep up the good work Bosch Corp.

You only have one of these? Get an extra.
Know what is less than great? Having a specialty tool that would be perfect for a particular project and finding that you're missing the smallest possible piece. A piece that, when absent, renders the tool completely useless. I could Roto all day but could not Zip without actually having a bit in place. Enter this collet. This solved my Zipping woes and now I have a tool that will be functional when called upon in the future.
