Works great, unobtrusive, seals up. It would be nice if they had additional inserts for different wire gauges, but I made it work!

Needed a simple underground junction box to repair a rework of the wiring (120 V AC) to a post lamp in front of the house. This worked perfectly for that application. The wires seal using a built in compression nut at each end, but I also applied a bit of silicon grease as insurance at the two places where wires entered the box. Nice little device to join the wires included. Looks like it should last and remain waterproof, but time will tell. As with ANY outdoor 120VAC wiring, make sure it is protected with a quality Ground Fault Breaker. The cost of a decent GFCI breaker is cheap compared to the priceless loss of a single human life. Follow all local electrical codes in your area. If I ever upgrade my post lamp, I'll switch to a low voltage setup. Much safer overall.

The box itself is really well made, a little small the hardest part was when using a thicker gauge wire it was hard to line them up with the screws since the box is so small, all in all a great product I was using 10/2 wire

I can readily recommend. I used these when installing a low voltage, solar powered sign illuminating light for our condo development. I was able to use a pair of these to splice in a heavy gauge power cable rated for direct ground burial for a long run between the solar panels and the remote lighting unit. Thus I was able to use a MUCH lower resistance cable from the solar connector to the light to GREATLY reduce the voltage drop compared to using the small gauge wiring provided by the manufacturer [much better for fully charging the batteries contained in the remote LED light to insure longer winter illumination periods from in the short winter days. An additional plus, it provides an easy-access set of "test points" at each end of the connecting cable run for troubleshooting should the lighting system fail to operate in the future. My friend cut his irrigation system wire while using a shovel on the edge of a flower bed. I used the j-box without the terminal block and just spliced the seven-conductor irrigation wires. The new wire and old wire were different sizes. The adjustable wire connectors can in handy. Does a perfect job for splicing / junction box where there is a potential of rain or water. In my case: underground where watering will take place. Good little kit. I would buy it again.

not fully 'weather' tested yet, but this unit seems to be constructed of quality materials, making it sturdy and seemingly secure. installation is pretty straight forward with the cable entry being water tight. The only downside i have, and not a big issue, is the the location of the attachment points. I think theyre slightly too close to the box to obtain any real purchase on the screw head. That said i would not recommend using a power tool to secure said screws as over tightening could lead to compromising the water resistance of the unit. overall i'd recommend this and shall certainly purchase more when the need arises.

I love this line of boxes. I wish they had ones made that are the size for 4 cables or more and no holes so I can drill or punch out what I need.

I made two submersible tests. The first filled with water quickly. The second I tightened both glands more then the first. It improved considerably but still had water infiltration. Next test will be using shrink wrap connections and tighten further. I would not recommend for submersible, however for garden use should be good. IMPORTANT, always use a GFI breaker or receptacle. Safety first!
