Best Hunting Game Hands Down
I cannot believe how much I played this game. I am not a super big fan of hunting games and tend to get bored of them fast, but I played this almost nonstop for a few weeks until I got platinum on it. The movement system with the thorn is much more enjoyable than any other hunting game and you don't have stamina to worry about. Just fly around everywhere like crazy and have fun. The upgrade system is perfect. You build facilities, get materials, and upgrade as you please. Customize weapon element and skills freely on any weapon type. On top of there there are a good chunk of different weapons and each one has 6 or so versions. You can go with a super fast sword with whatever skills and element you want, or a slow powerful gattling gun. Do what you want. Single player has a decent story and is enjoyable since you can bring allies to help you. Choose which ones with which style you want to compliment your character. Online match making isn't perfect but works and makes for an easy way to farm rare materials, especially with the update to allow you to purchase the random high ranking quests. For the low vita game price I got tons of enjoyable playtime, and even after hitting platinum I kind of want to keep playing online with my super pimped out spear. Easily my favorite Vita game, and possibly favorite game of any console in a long while.

Save the real games like this seller has. Thank you.
This game rocks. Physical games for preservation is very important. I had this on my PS3 but for some reason Sony stopped the ability to transfer from your PS3 to your PS Vita. Really stupid if you ask me. I couldn't purchase it from the store for some reason and PlayStation is being really shady with their business practices. The best thing to do going forward is to buy the hard copy. Find sellers like this guy who keeps the games in great condition. The case was not busted up or scratched. I'll buy from this seller again especially if they sell games that you cannot find in my neck of the woods.

BUY THIS GAME
OH MY GOD, YES!!!! This is by far in my opinion one of the best vita games I have yet to play!!! Before I even talk about the action, the story is great! When you begin you are a thing called a sinner who is basically someone who has proved to be a waste of resources in a world that is running out. So you have to act as basically a military slave who is constantly told that you are expendable and you aren't like a useful civilian. So this means you have to buy entitlements like the right to remain silent or even run for above five seconds. It does a good job at making you feel for the characters even your own. The action is like gods eater burst meets lost planet, which is amazing!!! The graphics are damn good for mobile and the online is way too fun! IT IS TRULY WORTH FULL PRICE BUT IS TEN BUCK CHEAPER THAN A NORMAL VITA GAME!!!!!! If you have a vita you must buy this awesome game, and if you don't buy one and get it!!!

Fun, great gfx, lots of content, and online! One of the best Vita games!!!
Wow, great game so far for me. Story is getting interesting and gameplay, despite awkward vita controls, are awesome! Graphics are one of the best I've seen on the vita. Hope more vita owners would purchase this game as I highly recommend it! You play as a prisoner sentenced 1mil years. As you play the game, you can work your way up to earn tons of rewards as you have more freedom in the game. It seems this game has a ton of content as unlockables and such. Customizables to your character and accessory (robot partner) is a huge plus! Alot of online things you can do too like co-op and pvp, also the penopticons (areas such as new york or tokyo)that you can compete with on the leaderboards. 5 Stars! If you have a vita, get this game!!! Its 10$ cheaper than any new vita games as well!

Highly ambitious, flawlessly executed
Such an ambitious and perfectly-executed game. It took the epic RPG elements of Monster Hunter and gave it super fast-paced gameplay with a unique and interesting storyline. It's hard to believe that the Vita was able to get such a great AAA exclusive this year, considering the rumors that past AAA titles didn't make enough money. The only complaint I have with this game is that they didn't localize the voices. The text and interface is all in English, but the voice acting is Japanese with English subtitles. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but I feel like had they localized the voices too, this game would have been perfect. Also, some people might be annoyed by it. You don't need to like the Monster Hunter series to like this game. The only thing this game shares with Monster Hunter is that you fight giant monsters (well, more like robots, really) with various different weapons. Other than that, this game is much, much faster and doesn't require you to spend hours crafting equipment and tracking down your target in a giant area. Also, this game includes online multiplayer with game modes such as coop, capture the flag, team deathmatch/pvp, etc. There are tons of character customization options, the music is great, and the graphics are great. This game seems to get an A+ in every category. And the best part is that the pace allows you to quickly just pick it up whenever you feel like playing, complete an operation or two, and then put it down. The story is not drawn-out and in-your-face the whole time, keeping you from playing the game.

10/10, like Monster Hunter with fun
This is everything Monster Hunter promised me, but Freedom Wars actually delivers. The setting, though heavily inspired by Orwell's London, is still much fresher than MH's generic fantasy setting. The music has a very distinct style, and it sounds damn good. The combat is nice and fast. No more worrying about tracking wounded monsters; FW instead pits you in single-area maps reminiscent of Team Fotress 2 and Counter-Strike. Also, you fight other humans (and human-sized robots) sometimes. It sounds silly but this adds much more variety than the standard hunting game has to offer. Additionally, there are less weapon types, leaving more variety for weapon effects. The story. There is one. It's good. Also, NPC helpers to help you with the story missions if you don't have friends to play with. Overall, it feels like what people tell me Monster Hunter is like, except I didn't need to get 20 hours in to get to the good stuff.

bad controls, storyline, and repetitive.
After playing this for a while I decided that this game is not as good as it's made out to be. It's also not that bad. I wish I could give it 3 and a half stars, but oh well. The best thing about this game is the graphics and the complexity. The customization of characters is amazing for a vita title, you don't see much of that. The multitude of weapons, modules, and upgrades you can do will keep you busy for a long time. However after a while it gets repetitive. You start noticing that there are not that many enemies, you fight the same ones over and over and over. The world is also super tiny, your quests will make you run through the same tiny world over 1000 times. Also the storyline is just standard, nothing special and nothing memorable. Music is also generic. You also cannot customize the button layout, which is lame and it takes a long time to get used to. My biggest gripe though is the aiming system: target lock for melee sucks, doesn't work for crap except the first hit because you will be going through the enemy and lock will break. And if you're using a ranged weapon, you can't shoot AND aim at the same time unless you have 2 thumbs, thanks to the inability to configure your buttons. Also there is a lag when you aim and it always makes me over/undershoot my targets kinda like a s***ty fps game.

One of my favourite vita titles
While not certain yet, it is very likely that Freedom Wars will be remembered as the last great exclusive of the vita. Like Souls Sacrifice before it, Freedom Wars is a "Monster Hunter" type of game where you fight against giant creatures (here called abductors), giving it a different spin with an actual story. Unlike Soul Sacrifice, however, Freedom Wars offers more versatility when it comes to combat. The thorn, a whip like weapon the characters carry, let the characters move in a spiderman fashion as well as different abilities and turn the otherwise acceptable gameplay something really special and exciting. There is a decent amount of weapon types and while most abductors are aesthetically similar, different body parts, combat accessories and types of arenas make for extremely different combat experiences. Similarly, arenas, while beautifully realized, are aesthetically similar but different internal structures (or the lack of them) keep things interesting. The world and premise are fantastic and the way they blend in with the game mechanics is outstanding as it actually makes you feel like you are the lowest of the low, which makes progression all the more satisfying, The story itself is not exceptional but is interesting enough, not to mention more substantial than Monster Hunter's, and it gives you the option to create your own character with an superbly extensive character creator. There are online modes, both cooperative and competitive, which make the already outstanding gameplay even more challenging and engaging, although is you are more of a solo player, you will be pleased to know that the AI is excellent (characters equipped with healing thorns actually heal you). Unfortunately, as mentioned before, the game is aesthetically repetitive and while the story IS good, more often than not it gets in the way of the gameplay, forcing you to go on errands on the central hub. Nevertheless, this is still a rocksolid game, with amazing combat and premise and I recommend it to anyone who likes the genre.

Maravilloso Juego
