They used to be thicker and have more coating on them. In the last two packages I received they were paper thin (in fact, some actually had holes in them) and had very spotty coating. My dog is small and not a strong chewer and he goes through one of these in about 15 minutes so they are no longer worth the money. The point of a rawhide chew is to keep your busy for awhile which these no longer do.
