Works! Enough said
I've now had the indoor bug zapper in both houses my family owns for over a year. While at first it's a little intimidating to hear a loud snap every now and then, the devices make a huge difference in how many houseflies, fruitflies, stink bugs, and other small flying insects are living with us. It's pretty impossible to keep the critters out even when the house is air conditioned and you never open the windows. While biting insects rarely appear, I'm still happy to get rid of the pests, even if some of them didn't spread diseases. The device uses a florescent light as the bait to attract the insects to the charged element that gives them a large dose of electricity. Small flies or the like are killed outright. Large flies, stink bugs, and in one case a hornet, are knocked out and fall to the tray where they struggle for a while and often get zapped again when they try to fly away. The light bulbs last several months -- that's one thing that could be improved, because replacing a bulb is a somewhat scary exercise because you yourself can be zapped if you accidentally touch the charged grate. My recommendation is to turn off the device at dawn -- it works better in the dark when it isn't competing with natural light -- and in afternoon the charge will have mostly dissipated. Then you can open the back of the machine and swap out the bulb. Don't try to change bulbs from the front.

Been going Strong for nearly a Year
These work and they last. I bought a Hoont Bug Zapper and the included bulbs didn't last a week. Someone in the reviews for the Hoont highly recommended these bulbs, so I got a pair. The Hoont has been going strong ever since, zapping countless bugs with reassuring authority. I strongly recommend these bulbs.

Easy to change out these bulbs.
Bulbs arrived undamaged and worked like a charm in our big zapper.

Didn't Last Long
Those fluorescent black light bulbs didn't last long. I purchased them Nov 18, 2024. They arrived quickly and I installed them in my Black + Decker bug zapper a little after. I remember when I went to install them they rattled and wondered how long they would last. They died about the middle of January 2025. This bug zapper runs 24/7. That's roughly 2 months or 1,500 hours. A quick search online says fluorescent bulbs should last 10,000 - 30,000 hours. Not a great deal if I have to replace them every 2 months. Guess I will keep looking.

First bulb from two bulb pack failed after 54 days - But excellent customer servicee!!
Extremely well packed bulbs! Worked fine when installed in bug light. Light operates 24/7 in the garage. New bulb installed on 8/28/23 - Bulb failed on 10/21/23 only 54 days... hmmm... My previous order of same item from 2 years before worked well, so hopefully this premature failure is an and infant mortality anomaly. However, within the box of bulbs is a note from the manufacturer Longchin instructing buyers to email them directly at the supplied email address if there are any problems with the product. True to their word they stand behind their product and immediately provided a full refund. That's great customer service!

They Work Well As Expected
I have purchased these several times, because when they work they last for about a year when always on. All you have to do is remember to not touch the bulbs directly with bare hands, because the oils from your hands on the bulb can shorten the life of them. So, just ware gloves or use a cloth and you will be find.
