I tested it in the bathroom with a little water on the sink and the siren alarm along with my phone both started going off immediately. I ordered the 3 sensor option. The set up was very straightforward, with my young son activating the sensors. The only minor suggestion would be to identify the sensor name/location before activating the next, as they are not numbered or otherwise identified on the phone app. Ultimately it wasn't a big deal, as my son was able to "activate" each with a damp paper towel for naming once they were in place. The main sensor is on the main level of the house and quite a distance from 1 of the sensors that still worked without delay for alerting. I bought ten sensors and a hub. It lasted only about one year. When the old hub broke, I could not buy a new one that worked with the system I had originally bought. The issue is that for water detection, the system has to be reliable. It is not useful when you constantly have to check whether it works. It needs to just run in the background. This system is not reliable.
