Electric Drop Bolt Lock DC 12V Fail Safe NC Mode Electronic Door Lock for Access Control Security System with Time Delay

This has been working great for me. It is a very solidly built mechanism and when the bolt is extended, the lock is absolutely secure. I was so pleased with how well it works and how economically priced it is I bought a second for a spare.

Door security and garage and for many other things to be secure

I actually bought these in a kit that came with the keypad & power supply. I had strange issues with the drop bolt just randomly unlocking with the power supply it came with. I tried debugging it for the longest time and never could figure out 100% what the problem was. I do know that there is a 0.5v AC wave going out on the 12v DC from the power supply which I think was causing the problem. Since switching to my own power supply the device works perfectly. I ended up tossing the power supply it came with into the garbage. The yellow and white wires aren't useless. They actually give you the status of the door (whether it is closed or not) by returning the state of the reed switch. The wires do not output voltage and instead work like a relay where the wires allow current to pass when the door is closed. You could use this with a microcontroller to determine if the door is closed. Do note though that this does not return whether the door is locked. This will only tell you that the door is closed. There is also another strange issue. If you power the lock on your desk and connect the two pieces it will engage. If you then pull the two pieces apart the lock stays engaged. It's strange though because it will only stay engaged if it has been a few seconds. It is almost like the solenoid's magnetic field is messing with the reed switch to make the lock think it is still touching the "receiver". This has actually almost caused a problem because if the door isn't fully shut but is shut enough to get the pin to engage it will drop the pin with the door still open and wont retract it. I've almost had the door bust the pin off because of the weight of the door. So yeah you get what you pay for. I almost wish I bought a more expensive unit that actually returned whether it was locked or not. I mainly came here to post that the yellow and white wires aren't useless. I opened the device to figure it out.

Works and looks great.

Doesn't work right out of the box. The LED lights up but the solenoid doesn't even attempted to energize.

These work well but are VERY cheaply built. If you want to lock something but so not really need it to be secured than this could work. The plunger is VERY wobbly which caused the door to have a good amount of movement when locked. It's ashame because a few dollars could make this a very good lock. A few more dollars could make it work outside. A few more design hours could make its Installation look professional.

Aufgrund der fehlenden Funktionsbeschreibung erstmal ein großes Fragezeichen. Es werden nur 2 der 4 Anschlüsse belegt und das ist die 12V Spannungsversorgung (Rot und Schwarz). Die anderen beiden Kabel kann man abtrennen. Liegen die 12V an, leuchtet die Status-LED erst rot und wenn der Bolzen rauskommt dann grün. Der Bolzen kommt nur raus, wenn man dass Gegenstück richtig positioniert. In diesem ist ein Magnet, der den Bolzen über einen Reedkontakt schaltet. Will man das Gegenstück nicht montieren, muss ein Magnet an entsprechender Position an der Gegenseite eingebaut werden. Geöffnet wird durch Wegschalten der Spannungsversorgung (stromlos offen). Das kann man sehr gut mit einer elektronischen Zugangskontrolle machen, die ein Relais mit Öffner-Kontakt hat. Habe ich so gemacht und funktioniert einwandfrei. Geht der Bolzen nicht ganz raus, weil etwas z.B. die Tür am vollständigen Schließen hindert, versucht der Bolzen im Sekundentakt immer wieder zu schließen. "Klack - klack - klack..." Erst dachte ich, das Ding wäre defekt, doch in meinem Fall war nur etwas Schmutz zwischen Tür und Rahmen, so dass die Tür nicht ganz schloss und der Bolzen sein "Loch" nicht ganz getroffen hat. Muss man erstmal wissen. Seitlich befindet sich noch ein Schiebeschalter, mit dem man eine Verzögerung einstellen kann. Je nach Einstellung blinkt die grüne LED nach dem Schließen z.B. der Tür im Sekundentakt in der Anzahl nach der Einstellung und der Bolzen verriegelt dann nach der eingestellten Zeit. Ist praktisch bei z.B. Türschließern, wenn die Tür im letzten Stück ganz langsam schließt, damit der Bolzen nicht zu früh rauskommt. Ansonsten habe ich das Teil schon einige Monate in Gebrauch und es funktioniert tadellos. Für den Preis kann man nicht klagen. Wäre nur schön, wenn da eine vollständige Funktionsbeschreibung dabei wäre, dann bräuchte man nicht rum zu probieren.

Geel en wit zijn een controle contact. Wanneer de slotplaat weggenomen (opengebroken) wordt werken ze als schakelcontact. Dus ook wanneer het slot niet geactiveerd is kun je de deur beveiligen. Slot en slotplaat gescheiden van elkaar is een actief contact. Een ideal slot, ik ben er blij mee
