But it has been a very functional muzzle and gets a great deal of positive comments when people see it. **Q: I have a pit bull of about 77 pounds and would like to buy this new smile which size?** A: I got the medium for a 50 lb dog. I would recommend buying a regular cage muzzle as well, then attached the smile muzzle inside of it and remove the straps from the smile muzzle. Only way I could get it to work was to do that, else the dog will have it off in a second. **Q: Mini Labradoodle 30lbs ... looks like a medium ? She’s snappy when needing ear meds .. any other doodle owners this worked for ?** A: The one I got as a large but was for a Pit mix, her muzzle looks more like a staffordshire terrier so her muzzle is longer than a regular pit but just about as wide. The large that I got was narrow where the corners of the mouth curl up in the picture. If you're only using it for ear drops and no other time, the cloth ones that just go around the muzzle would work great. IF you're going to use it out walking, then remove it when you get home, it would work too. My dog was able to get this one off but it took a little while.
