I had to return this as I bought this for my grandfather as the the card holder broke as soon as I opened up and I wanted to put anything in it. It was loose some of the parts so I don’t recommend. I think they have a quality assurance problem.

I could see this phone having some niche applications, but as a daily-driver it's not great. I'll start with the good stuff: it's built like a tank, has a removable battery, and is quite water resistant. It's got dual-SIM support, though the utility of that on a "dumb" phone is questionable, and the speaker is pretty loud. It gets a good, strong cellular connection. It works great for simple phone calls, with good volume and audio quality and no nonsense. The folding form-factor places the microphone near your mouth for good audio pickup. Everything else about it, less so. The camera is terrible, basically 90s Nokia phone quality. Which is probably fine, since you can't really do anything useful with it anyway. The text messaging interface is, likewise, terrible, with some sort of weird version of T9 predictive typing that is often wrong and doesn't like to be corrected. And the screen font is HUGE, again with no obvious way to change it. It says it's "T-Mobile Only," so of course I promptly tried it on Verizon. It works for phone calls, and basic text messages, but MMS/picture messaging didn't work at all. Presumably this is due to fixed APN settings for TMo, and it would work there, but I don't currently have a TMo account so I didn't try that. I'm being generous with my star rating on this thing, because it claims to be a basic feature phone and it does work as one, albeit with a very clumsy interface for anything other than basic calling. I might recommend it as a secondary phone work, where its robust construction will be a benefit, or as a phone for a senior who will never need to use anything other than basic calling.

I bought this for my mother-in-law who is 85 and wanted another "stupid phone." She doesn't text, so I can't comment on that. I set all the directional buttons to go to the phone book, which is the only thing she really uses. It works fine for her once she got used to it. She does still turn the flashlight on occasionally, but now knows how to turn it off. My one major issue with this phone is that it drops off the network every few days and has to be rebooted. (I'm sure there's another way, but rebooting is easiest to have her do. Works on the T-Mobile network.
