## Overview

Premier PoultryNet Plus is a 48-inch tall electrifiable portable mesh fence with built-in posts spaced every 6.8 feet for superior tautness and adaptability. Featuring 11 electrified horizontal strands made with stainless steel and tinned copper conductors, it offers low resistance and effective containment of poultry and livestock while deterring predators. The fence arrives as a complete roll with preinstalled double spike PVC posts, enabling quick installation in under 10 minutes. ## Description

PoultryNet Plus differs from other nets because Plus has 15mm line posts every 6.8 ft instead of 10 -12 ft in other net fences. This means it's less likely to sag between posts and adapts more readily to curves, dips and rises. It's a 48" electrifiable prefabricated fence. It arrives at your door as a complete roll with the posts already built into the mesh/fence. Keeps in poultry, sheep, goats, cattle and guard dogs. Keeps out deer, bear, raccoons, rabbits, skunks, foxes, coyotes and stray dogs. The white vertical plastic strings are welded to black and white electro-plastic horizontal strings. They are supported by .6" white plastic PVC double staked posts, which are spaced throughout the netting. Each post has a 6" steel double spike that is to be inserted into the ground for support. Net has 12 horizontal strands (11 electrified) Horizontal spacings from bottom to top are 2", 2", 2", 2", 4", 4", 4", 6", 6", 8", 8". Net is highly conductive with stainless steel conductors and a tinned copper super conductor. Only 35 ohms of resistance per 1,000 ft of netting. Acceptable levels of electric conductivity on the fence can be difficult when low soil moisture conditions are present. If dry soil conditions occur frequently, a Pos/Neg (P/N) version of netting fence is strongly advised. FENCE MUST BE PROPERLY ENERGIZED TO BE EFFECTIVE. Energizer is not included. Recommend approximately .25 joule of energizer per roll of fence. Use only low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizers. Warning! Do NOT use continuous current energizers with electric netting. (Fi-Shock brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric nettng.) For optimum results, we recommend using a Premier Solar or AC/DC energizer that fits your specific needs. Premier's energizers are found on desertcart.

Review: So our chickens have been free range for over a year now and they of course like to go everywhere they shouldnt and leave behind....presents. We got this fence mainly to keep the chickens and ducks in one large area instead of having free reign of the entire place. It has worked perfectly for keeping our chickens and runner ducks inside one area. Even though my chickens can fly they havent flown over the fence. I have the equipment to electrify the fence but just haven't done it yet so I can't comment on that part. It was super easy to set up by myself. Before setting it up, i made sure to mow the grace where I was putting the fence, really short. It is pretty expensive so I hope it lasts a long time but I can't comment on that right now. To keep it mostly straight I used my foot to lightly pull the posts a little tighter before inserting them into the ground. It comes with a tag to put on the fence for safety so people know not to touch it if its electrified. I will try to remember to update this review after winter to see how it does with snow.

**Q: Does the netting need to be connected at start and endpoint, or can it be used in a straight line? only need to fence in 1 long side**
A: The ends do not need to be connected.  You may use it in a straight line.

**Q: I have only five chickens and won't to let them run out some but the length is a lot, do you have a shorter fence for a small flock?**
A: We have item 208437 - 48" Electric Chicken Net listed on Amazon.  It is 82 ft in length and yellow in color.  We would recommend using non-conductive support posts, such as item 208055 - FiberTuff posts, at the ends, corners and major directional changes for additional support.  We do have our item 207105 - 48" PermaNet Plus in 50 ft. lengths, but unfortunately it is not available on Amazon.  You can see it on the Premier 1 Supplies site.

**Q: in addition to fence netting and energizer is there anything else needs such as additional posts which would strengthen the fence?**
A: The PoultryNet Plus does have additional posts versus our standard PoultryNet, but we do still recommend using additional non-conductive support posts at the ends, corners or major directional changes for additional support.  Posts like our item 208055 - 48" FiberTuff posts, which are designed for use with our netting.

**Q: Would this work for bull calves?**
A: It may work when they are quite young. It is reasonably sturdy (but I'm using it for chickens), but I'd be concerned about the durability with cattle. Also, with my set-up 4 100' fences and 1 solar charger, the shock is not very strong. I'll be upgrading the charger soon. With one fence and the solar charger the shock is definitely more prominent but not as strong as a typical wire set-up.

This netting is awesome. Simple to set up, easy to move, very sturdy / well built. I have bought additional netting and will buy again in the future as I add more "free range" area. (Originally bought the Premier set with charger.). Oh, buy the posts for additional corner support, especially if your milking the fence for every inch of stretch you can get. Keep the weeds away from the fence when charged.
