Classy Little Thang
Like many other buyers/reviewers, I find this watch way better than its price. The simple design, the elegant silver dial, the use of chromed hour markers instead of numerals, the mirror polish on the bezel against the satin finish of the case, they all add up to a really nice watch. It's too small for a man at 38mm case diameter by today's standards but I bought this for a woman. The plan was to also order a more feminine strap than the black crocodile supplied, and I did, four of them just to be safe: one each in yellow, maroon & lavender leather and a silicone number with a cartoony jellyfish pattern in lots of colours. Only to find when the watch arrived today that the product description of a 22mm lug width is erroneous. It's really 20mm. Not Casio's fault, not Amazon's fault. The importer/seller. I reported the error where it says to do so on the appropriate page in the Amazon catalogue, but nothing ever comes of that. I have a Recipient B for at least two of the straps and I'll try to cut the corners off the two others to make them fit, but still... Excellent watch, price more than fair, I just should've waited until I had it in hand before spending more on straps than on the watch itself.

What a price point bargain watch.
I didn't think I would go this low price wise on buying a watch, but I like the classic look and wanted to add this to the heard because it reminds me of one of the watches I had many years ago (but it was a daily winder). And Casio is a well known brand (I also have Orient, Seiko, Traser, Timex - just ordered another Orient). A basic simplistic battery ticker. Only a couple days use and seconds are spot on so far. Band is already softening up (also bought a couple NATO bands for this and other watches, but I think I can live fine with this band, just don't care for the shine / knocked a shiny star for that. The second hand is spot on the ticks/markers. Crown guards are just right. Watch & band is great for my wrist size. The ticking is not loud like a couple other watches I have/had. I have to hold it to my ear to hear it. What a bargain at its price point. Simple, clean, some classy look. Lets see... do I wear a Casio for the Casino. Add 3/10/18 - getting ready to re-set the time for time change and checking this watch time (I hack the seconds to GMT on seconds) I notice since I got this watch that the seconds is running +15 seconds ahead from day one when I set it. Not bad, not bad at all for a watch especially at this price. Can't complain about that. Still looks good (like new) and the band has softened for my wrist. For a simple inexpensive watch that hold time well, I'm pretty happy about that. After all, a watch should tell what it is vs what time it isn't.

Great looking and great value
This is a great looking watch. On my 6.75'' wrist, a 38mm watch is perfect, and this one is no exception. Clean, legible dial. No lume but that's not a big deal for me. One issue: the date window is VERY small. To read the date, especially when it's in the double digits, I need to pull the watch closer to my face so I can see it. So far the watch is keeping perfect time, and this is a Japanese movement Casio. One more note on the case: I like the proportions and case design, although the crown guard is a little weird and doesn't quite work for me, but again, this is minor and a matter of taste. For the price, hard to see how this watch can be beat!

Great basic watch
This watch in not the watch to buy if you want someone to notice or comment on your timepiece. However if you need a basic, no frills watch that is versatile enough to wear in suit or in casual attire, but isn't from a "fashion" brand, then this is your watch. I am normally wearing a gshock, but on occasion need something less casual, and this is perfect. The strap that it comes with is junk, and it is ugly, but I knew this from other reviews so I bought a better strap when I ordered the watch. Even with the cost of the other strap, this watch is still a great bargain. The seconds hand lines up with the indices (something that many higher end quartz watches can't get right), it keeps great time, and it is a nice size. The lug width is 20mm, so there are a ton of straps out there that it will fit. Overall I could not be more pleased with the watch.

Looks like a more expensive watch
This is one of a handful of Casio analog watches I own that isn’t a Duro, and I really like it. It looks like a much more expensive watch. It’s quartz, so it keeps great time.

For the price you cant beat a Casio.
For the price you cant beat this watch. I have always relied on a Casio after spending over seven Months in the Persian Gulf, during Desert Storm. That particular watch was a small inexpensive digital disposable that I figured wouldn't make it. I was wrong! I have only had this model (MTP1183E-7A) for about three days and it is very easy to set-up (unlike digitals). Just pull the crown out and turn the dial, Its that easy. It looks as if its worth more than what I paid and is solid and good thickness and size with a comfortable leather band. I would have opted for a solid black band instead of the alligator design, but it dose add a bit of class so that it can be worn as a casual dress watch as well. the watch gets five stars, however the packaging was horrible. I am lucky that I received the watch in one peace, as it was loosely placed in a cardboard box with very little bubble-wrap.
