Just right to hold light/medium duty webbing
These clips were bought to hold light/medium duty 1-1/2" webbing which is part of a fabric car top carrier. Nice snug fit for the 1-1/2" webbing, not too loose or too tight. The bendable tabs are just flexible enough to allow inserting the webbing., and they do hold the webbing without slipping. The long clip on top is also just tight enough to hold โ I will just need to point the clip toward the wind to the make sure it stays in place at driving speeds. The pictures show the size of the web opening, but don't show the width of the clip from the top โ it is just under 1/2'"wide โ plenty for my purposes. Great for light / medium duty webbing, but heavy duty webbing such as a canvas belt would not fit this clip.

Useful under the right circumstances
I bought these because I wanted to turn one of the inexpensive MOLLE/PALS pouches into a belt pouch for tools. I do a lot of production support and wanted to have a quick grab-and-go essentials kit that would be smaller than a tool bag but larger than what I could carry in my (already overstuffed) pockets. Think Maxpedition pocket organizer that I can clip on and off like a tape measure. Well, I tried. The 2" clips went onto the pouch's MOLLE loops securely. I ziptied them in place for peace of mind, but it probably wasn't needed. The open clip on the other side is a bit loose but holds onto a thick belt fairly well. Not really well enough for a shop setting though, so I added a third clip mounted upside down (open end up). That way the pouch couldn't walk its way up and off my belt. I had to weave the belt through the three clips, which made it very secure. However, that also meant I couldn't take it off and put on easily, which was the whole point. After experimenting for a while I gave up and resigned myself to either carrying a tool bag, or borrowing tools. For me, the clips just didn't work. They're not as secure as the spring steel clips on a tape measure, which are easy to take off and put on but not prone to falling off accidentally. The quality was fine and they didn't break so they get 4 stars, but they weren't useful for what I wanted to do.

Fit great and fit the bill entirely.
Was a little disappointed when the strap keep broke on my Kriega R25 after only light tugging. I realize it was my own fault and quickly found these clips on Amazon. I'm glad I measured my strap size first because it would have been annoying to purchase the wrong clips. Fortunately these worked out perfectly, and although not QUITE the same dimensions as the original clips, they should work nicely. Bonus that I have several extras for the future.

Ease of Use Limited to Very Thin Straps
Works well with only very thin belts, straps. For all other scenarios, pliers, etc. are required to install the clip. This makes it's use less convenient as the clip must be installed, removed with each use (the clip is too large to slide through the buckle on the strap).

Good for Saddle Hunting
I have a Cruzr Saddle. I put one on the back and furthest sides of the webbing. Yes the 1" variant fits the 1" webbing I have. I tell you it was the biggest pain and you'll fingers get a workout in but eventually it will go on. Trick I found is slide one end in and wedge the other end in. It won't go in on the first try. Eventually it will go in. Now you need to get the bunched end through. Pulling it through helps a little but I found pushing and working the clip back and forth works the best. I hope that makes sense. If you ever need to get it off or the clip break you aren't getting it off the same way you put it on. Just take some wire cutters and snap an end off. Anyway its simple. Pain to get on for you saddle guys but it will fit if you work it enough.

They work well!
Fits perfectly, which also means itโs a little tough to get it onto the strap but once itโs on itโs great! I bought these for a Dagne Dover backpack that the straps were just hanging, very discreet addition to avoid flappy straps!

Didn't exactly work for me
I was hoping to use these to quickly and easily secure a stiff competition belt to a EDC belt.. They didn't work for my intended purpose, they are just too tight. They'd work great to secure extra Nylon straps or webbing.. and perhaps really thin belts. Being plastic you do run a real risk of breaking them if trying to stuff more than the intended amount of material in them, but they are rather sturdy for what they are. Your Mileage May Vary.
