It actually gives the same reading 3 times in a row, so I expect it's much more accurate than the Vicks I was using. it's also compact and feels sturdier. Costs more, but I guess you get what you pay for in this case. I am much happier with this one. it also doesn't just not give a reading depending on its mood, and it's very fast. Very simple to use and clean, as most are. Easy to read, looks good.

I got this for my elderly parents. This is a very accurate and easy to use thermometer with excellent ergonomics for elderly people. It is big and thick compared to other thermometers which makes it very easy for to hold. The large color coded, high contrast display is very easy to read. It gets a reading pretty fast and beeps very loudly when it is done. All of this is good for elderly parents, but I probably won’t get one of these for babies. The readings are consistent and match my trusty Kinsa and Braun Thermoscan 7+. I can’t comment on the battery life yet, but it does use a standard CR 2032 cell unlike the smaller thermometer specific button cells which some other thermometers use. This is a few dollars more expensive than other popular stick thermometers, but I think it’s good value for the overall accuracy, standard batteries and ergonomics. If you don’t need the ergonomics or need a quieter thermometer, you can’t go wrong with the Kinsa which is close enough in price on Amazon.

GET ONE i got sick for 4 days had lots of fever. i got the BRAUN prt2100, just turn it on, place it under your tongue, takes about 10 seconds and it will give you a perfect reading every time. i had a fever of 103, and if you check it again right after you will get the same accuracy, its perfect. tho its not a one second scan type however waiting 10 seconds to get a perfect and accuracy reading is worth it. i believe if you have kids its to know you have thermometer thats reliable. i ordered one for my daughter and her little family also for my two other sons and their kids. just get one. my fever is gone, i check my temp today and its 98.4, btw it come with a CR1632 battery inside already. the reason i mention the battery is cause one of the displays has a different battery, its actually a CR1632.

Braun is definitely a good brand for these types of products, and this one is a good product too. I love the design, and the color-coded fever guidance is very helpful. It’s both fast and accurate. My only complaint is that it only displays in Fahrenheit; as someone more familiar with Celsius, I find that a bit inconvenient. That is why I gave 4 star.
