Really quiet and comfortable tire
I installed three of these 20X1.75'" tires on a Catrike Villager recumbent e-trike. Now installation requires a little experience but once mastered is not that hard. The secret is lube and SQUEEZE. Just a few drops of dish soap in a glass of water, brushed liberally on the tire bead with a brush. Getting the first bead of the tire on the rim just requires a little pushing with your thumb AFTER LUBING. Then install the tube, inserting the valve thru the rim hole and stuffing the tube into the open side of the tire. Then, after lubing the bead again, insert the tire into the other side of the rim, starting with the valve and working around the rim on both sides. No tire irons are required but can be used. You will be able to get all but about the last 12", opposite the valve in pretty easily. Then it gets difficult. Now listen up... SQUEEZE the sides of the tire along the entire seated portion to move the beads into the center of the rim, not on the bead area. Then pushing/rolling with your thumbs get more of the bead into the rim. Then repeat, SQUEEZE and push. A little more will go in. Now for the final 6", SQUEEZE again to ensure that all the bead in in the center of the rim, lube the final area gain , and grasping the tire with your hands, roll the rest into place. Don't just use your thumbs, grasp the tire and roll it over the rim away from you. You are actually twisting the tire over the last portion of the rim. That is it. Takes a little practice, but if you do not do the SQUEEZE part it is almost impossible. With it, it's pretty easy. You see, the center part of the rim is smaller in diameter than the bed grooves, get the bead into that and it will go on. If you don't, it won't. Great tire, very quiet and smooth, low rolling resistance and pretty comfortable at 60-65 psi.

Strong and solid tire that fits my foldable bike.
This has been a great tire for my foldable bike. It is a strong and solid tire but it does weigh more than other similar tires that fit my foldable bike tires. I would buy this tire again and I have bought it a couple of times already.

Great tires
I bought these to replace the ones on my wife's trike. The old ones have lasted almost 5,000 miles and never any flats. There is still a lot of tread left. She rides on paved surfaces almost all of the time so I can not comment on how they would do on the dirt. I will continue to buy Schwalbe tires since I can not imagine a better product from another brand.

Love these babies
Bought two of these tires for my Dahon Speed 7. I had some old Dahon Rotolo tires on, which had rubber pieces hanging out and were worn bold. The first feeling when I put on the Schwalbe tires on was that I'm riding on a cloud. They had a nice cushioning feel and yet felt very sturdy as well. Don't expect anymore flat tires anytime soon. I read other reviewers complain that they broke their tools trying to put them on the rim. Made me nervous about buying them and facing the same problem. Especially since I'm not a bike pro. But thenIa read a review from someone who said that he put them on using his hands only, and some zip ties. I tried it, and you know what, I was able to do the same without much effort. What I did was start from one place, fit it nice over the rim, and tie it tight with a velcro tie until the tire is flattened. Did that in 2-3 other place. The rest of the tire was accomplished by squeezing and pulling on it with my hands. Was so surprised at how easy it was. No need for tools, grease, oil, or hot water on the tire. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Much easier to mount than expected
Update: I have been riding on these tires for 5000 miles without a single puncture. I have a recumbent tadpole trike (2 wheels in the front and one in the rear) so it's hard to do a direct comparison with a bike. Since I use 20" tires, each part of the tread hits the path about 30% more often than a 26" tire would. It's also harder to avoid potholes and debris with a trike since the wheels don't track each other. I replaced the rear tire after 3000 miles with another Marathon Plus because it was getting bald. I'm still using the front two tires after 5000 miles and expect to get another 500-1000 miles out of them. I've been very pleased with the tires. Original review: I bought a 20x1.75 Schwalbe Marathon Plus tire for my new recumbent trike. After reading all of the reviews, I was expecting a struggle to mount it. It actually only took me a few minutes with no tools, just my not-so-strong bare hands. The tire also didn't feel as heavy as I expected, although that may be due to the smallish size. The tire is rated for 50-70 PSI, I'll probably run it at 60 PSI for a mixture of pavement and stone dust riding. I'll edit my review if I have any problems with the tire in the future. Note that the tires are directional, be sure to mount them so they rotate in the direction molded into the tire. I plan to replace the other two tires with Marathon Plus (same size). I only ordered one initially because I was concerned about problems in mounting the tires. The extra cost is worth it to me if it eliminates the hassle of repairing a flat miles from home.

Good, long wearing road tires
Very good road tires for my recumbent trike, Since they are 20 inck, they are harder to install than larger tires.

The best tire I've found for preventing glass punctures.
This has really helped me get fewer flats from riding over glass. However, it doesn't really help against longer sharps, like nails. So, now I use inner tubes with Slime in them. Combined with the Schwalbe tire, I haven't gotten a flat since. I hit a nail, which punctured the Schwalbe, but the Slime sealed it up nearly instantly, and I kept riding.

Thicker than other tires
I bought these because I keep wearing out others and heard these have decent mileage. I only have about 25 miles on them so far, so I can't comment on mileage. Fitting was really easy I was dreading it but it was very quick and simple, no bleeding or swearing at all. The down side is I had to adjust the fenders and they're alittle thicker than normal.

I ordered 2x20" Marathon Plus tyres for a fold up bike. If they are heavier than ́normal’ tyres I didn’t notice. I mounted each tyre in six minutes, by hand, no tools needed except two cable ties per tyre and tire levers to remove the old tyres so I don’t understand the scare stories about being hard to mount. I did a couple of test runs, about 20 mins in total and so far I feel no difference when riding between the old and new tyres. That was on asphalt. So looking good...

Ottimo! Davvero anti foratura.

Schwalbe quality. An expensive tyre, but dependable. Especially good for the rear wheel of a commuter bicycle. I tend to put a cheaper tyre on the front.
