Review: This high-speed PWM Fan is a Wonderful BEAST! - This fan is a rugged, high-speed beast. If you're accustomed to the more common, less expensive, modest 140x25mm fans... you'll be in for a shock! These monsters are solid, heavy, and generate tremendous airflow... all very good things! They will figuratively, and literally, blow you away at even moderate speeds. Note that these fans certainly aren't quiet at higher speeds, which is completely normal, and expected. And they do vibrate a bit, which is again perfectly normal. But the airflow they can generate is impressive, to say the least. Given all that, a PWM fan controller is highly recommended: By reducing the speed a bit, you can greatly reduce noise and vibration, while still moving a lot of air. Running this fan at a reduced speed should also lengthen the service life too. The recommended controller is Noctua's NA-FC1, as it's designed to handle four amps... well under this fan's maximum current draw of three amps. https://www.desertcart.com/Noctua-NA-FC1-4-pin-PWM-Controller/dp/B072M2HKSN/ In short, if you're in the market for a fan providing tremendous airflow, in a 140x38mm form factor, this product is highly recommended!
Review: This Blower is Loud! And moves a lot of air. - Beware! I didn't but this for sound reasons, I bought it to move air. And boy does it move air. I dont think I have to dust my PC anymore. It goes on the side of my computer and i have 2 fans in the front, when i turn the fans off in the front , this fans turns the non powered fans in the opposite direction not needing the 2 front fans. This is a PWM fan and in my bios I have it to 35% power. which is just right for air and noise level. At 100% it sounds like a jet engine. you want a fan to move air and dont care about noise? this is the fan. Also this fan will hurt your fingers -find a fan guard. It has a really long cable which is a good thing.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this fan reversible ?**
A: Turn the fan around.

**Q: What is the PWM voltage range?**
A: Per the product label (refer ro the picture I posted with my review), the specs are:

Starting Voltage (VDC): 7
Operating Voltage (VDC): 9-15

The optimal voltage, however, is likely 12. If you need to adjust the speed, you can use a PWM controller like Noctua's NA-FC1. I have been using that controller with these fans, and it works beautifully.

Does that help?

**Q: Can this fan be run on just the red and black wires?**
A: Yes this can be done but keep in mind that you will not have any software based speed control unless you have a physical controller in the loop.

**Q: What is the minimum PWM duty cycle at which these will run?**
A: I am not sure about the PWM duty cycle as I use this fan in a different setup using a rheostat. The lowest I have run this at so far is at 5.8V which is roughly 48% of the rated voltage.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blown the f*** out
*by J***. on July 27, 2020*

This fan is the god of PC fans. Any other brand pales in comparison and I guarantee I've had improved performance from both my GPU and CPU after switching from those weenie Noctua NF-A14 Industrial fans. The top review on those made me think they were super powerful or had a ton of airflow. If you need fans that can be quiet when you want to be immersed and powerful/loud only when your at full load, these are it. There are no other options, because either they come with sub-par specs for the price, or the quality is going to be lower. I have no problem with a negative pressure now, because the wind gusting through the case is so violent, there's very little opportunity for dust to get stuck. It's almost just as effective to go into my BIOS, press "f" (to pay respect for the natural disaster about to occur), and max all three of my fans to clear out the whole thing. No disassembly required. If my description so far doesn't deliver the point, let me give you something concrete about my PC. There are two of the 140mm b-Blasters and one 120mm version. The leftover Arctic and Noctua intakes on the front barely count, so I won't even bother to consider them. Each 140mm fan has a maximum of 70 decibels at max speed. On top of that, the 120mm has an additional 45 decibels. Just adding these three numbers gives you over 180 decibels and that's not even considering the CPU fan and two intakes. They are deafening when I max them out, but that never happens during a game and only if I'm running several high profile programs or a benchmark. All that said, these fans can be as quiet as other companies if you set up a fan curve to max them out at 35%. I like the option that if my CPU gets near a critical temperature, these things can rev up and prevent damage or throttling. If these were $10 more than I'd say you could go with another lesser capable brand, but they do almost all the same stuff for the same price. Only real complaints I have is that bgears is totally utilitarian and could do without the ketchup/mustard wires. I'd pay extra for some white ones with white LEDs and the same specs as these. TL;DR - If you want actual airflow and bother to set up a fan profile, get these. Way better than the overpriced Noctuas.
