Review: Very Handy, Somewhat Fragile and VERY SHARP!! Great kitchen tool. - Bought the 6 slice and the 8 slice cutters and they work great for marking portions on my cheesecakes and other kitchen creations. I actually will rotate the cutter 1/2 way and double the number of portions for very rich desserts, like the cheesecakes, to avoid waste. Once marked, depending on the density of the product, I use a thin damp knife to do the rest of the cutting, or cut through with the cutter. The pie cutter may or may not be the best way to go for the complete cut to the bottom. But I use it often and store it carefully, it is VERY SHARP on the bottom cutting side and the entire unit is pretty light weight. Make sure you dry it completely after hand washing it, because it WILL begin to rust if water is left on it. I wrap mine in a towel and then store in plastic before housing it in the cupboard to prevent it from getting bent or nicked, because the cutting dividers are quite thin and fragile. Storing it this way also prevents it from scratching other things..Bottom edge of dividers ARE VERY SHARP!!
Review: Makes Quick Work of Dividing 8", 9", or 10" Pie Into Six Equal Wedges - This 6-SLICE PIE CUTTER PRESS makes quick work of dividing an 8-inch, 9-inch, or 10-inch pie into six equal wedges. (It's the same size and functionally the same as the American Metalcraft PC6 6-Cut Pie Cutter, 10-Inch . I purchased both, because I bake both 9-inch and 10-inch pies, and mistakenly thought that the "10-inch" model was designed specially for 10-inch pie plates.) You will still need a knife or a pie server with a serrated edge to finish separating the wedges. You simply take hold of the handles, center the frame over the pie, and press down. It's a good idea to end with a slight rocking motion, to finish cutting the thicker crust on the rim of the pie dish. The cutter works best on a pie that has completely cooled. If the pie filling hasn't set up, the cut pie slices will want to fall apart when you take them out of the baking dish. The cutter may cause very thin pie crust to crumble a bit at the center (at the tips of the pie wedges), because you have slightly less control than when you're slicing your pie with a sharp knife. The pie cutter is stainless steel, and is dishwasher safe. I've been hand washing mine, because it takes up a lot of space in the dishwasher. A cutter that makes six servings is the right one for my household (two adults), but if you need to get more servings per pie, this 8-Slice Pie Cutter Press, 18/8 Gauge Stainless Steel, Commmercial Grade, Side-Handles works equally well.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: dishwasher safe**
A: Yes, it is dishwasher safe as it is made of stainless steel.

**Q: I want to know if anyone has used this to cut a pizza?**
A: I never have used it for anything except to mark/slice cheesecakes and pies, but the cutting edges are VERY SHARP. I am very careful about how I store these pie slicers too. They might cut through a pizza, give it a try carefully.

**Q: What is the overall diameter of the 6 slice pie cutter?**
A: not sure but I purchased a 6-slice and an 8-slice for parties in our rec hall and they can both be used on an 8" or larger pie plate. works great - only complaint when cutting 30-40 pies is that you have to rinse it off when slicing different kinds of pies.

**Q: Can you bake your pie with this in it? (Thinking quiches...different fillings for each slice)**
A: ? Not sure. I don't think it would work well in a pie but maybe in a Quiche?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does it’s job, but it’s sharp and bulky to store.
*by L***E on February 11, 2020*

Not nearly as excited about this as I thought I would be. I bought it because my mom has a plastic one and it works well. Hers is smaller, does not have sharp edges and is easy to store. I have so many kitchen gadgets that I’m going to get rid of ones that I don’t use much and aren’t easy to store—this is #1 to get rid of. Don’t get me wrong, it does it’s job, but I don’t need something this sharp to cut through a pie, especially when I have to store the bulky “knife”. I knew it was a 6 piece cutter, but you would also need to purchase other sizes for say rich pie, cheesecake, etc. would rather use a knife and possibly have uneven pieces.
