Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn, Soft and Bulky Yarn for Knitting, Crocheting, and Crafting, 1 Skein, Grey Marble

Love this yarn! This brand/style has become my all-time favorite. It's 20% wool and has a rustic feel to it, but it isn't scratchy. I have purchased it in 4 different colors so far (it comes in over 30). The dyes run true to color so even different dye lots look the same. It's a big chunky yarn so great for scarves and hats. It might be a bit too thick for a sweater, but that's just my opinion. I might try it one day. I can't speak to the durability of this but it's care is easy and it would lend itself well to beginner projects.

This is my favorite yarn brand. I used this color Glacier to have my friend knit a really comfortable and cozy scarf. You can really rely on the warmth of this yarn. It is worth the money. It is so soft and pleasing to feel on your skin, especially your cheeks if made into a scarf. I have had my friend knit with this same yarn in different colors to make the most luxurious blankets. They will last a lifetime with whatever your craft this yarn into. I love Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn.

Super bulky, very pretty color depth. Easy to work with.

This is my favorite yarn. I have crocheted hats and scarves with this. It washes and dries well and ends up being very soft and warm. I am in the process if knitting my first throw with this yarn. Colors used: TEAK MUSTARD FISHERMAN CONEY ISLAND

Beautiful color, easy to knit

This yarn is soft and not itchy like some wool. It works up well. The colors are gorgeous. It does not split. It was easy to frog misktakes. The one negative is that it is “dusty.” It sheds a small amount. I used it to crochet a satchel. (The purse has not been blocked yet in the photo.) I would say it is a good value for the money.

This yarn is so soft and warm and incredibly easy to work with. I love it. It also works up very quickly. I made my husband an infinity scarf and he said it made him sweat even in single digit weather so wife approved. Worth the money though I wish it was a bit bigger per skein.

I fortuitously stumbled across this yarn via a pattern, which recommended it. Lucky, me! The pattern required two skeins, so I ordered those on December 11th, received them on the 13th, and worked up the cowl, the same day! Holy Smokes! I whipped it out in a couple of hours, with an M sized hook...the time it took to watch a film. It wasn't fiddly. I particularly love how soft it is; snugly-warm. After that first purchase, I was inspired to go into frenzied make-everyone-a-cowl-for-Christmas overdrive and ordered 12 additional skeins! I have Amazon Prime (free, two day shipping on Prime eligible colors), so each cowl cost under $20. I'm happy to say that I completed all the cowls with ample time to spare, including shipping, from the east to the west coast! Yippee! :-) (If you sent as many, "late-again" packages as I have, you'd understand my glee.) I thought this a nice gift for that price. Because I had such a good experience making the cowls, I have since gone on to make a hat, two hooded cowls, and a pair of slippers calling for Wool-Ease Thick and Quick and still managed to get everything else done that one does in a day. Quick. Fortunately, out of the 20 skeins I have worked with so far, I have not had the knotting problem another reviewer expressed. I'm so glad about that. After reading that review, I chanced it, to order this yarn anyway. I'm going to use this yarn for future projects. If I run into any problems, I'll try and give an update. I'm leery of ordering items such as this, with color being so hard to determine accurately via my computer screen, but was happy with the ones I ordered: charcoal (my favorite), black, blossom, fisherman, pine, raspberry, and granite. I wanted to try the cobalt, because I was looking for purple, but it currently (12/2013) isn't Prime available. I haven't made an exhaustive search for this yarn to ascertain the availability of additional colors to what Amazon shows, but I do wish there were more purple shades and tones. My sisters are ga-ga over purple! (By the way, I'm glad Amazon carries this yarn as I live in an area that only carries three colors at Walmart.) This yarn does pill (get fuzzy) a bit. Soft and chucky yarn to work with.

I loved using this yarn. I am only a beginner, (my third project) and previously only used thinner yarns, but this was my favourite project and yarn so far. The yarn made crocheting so easy. This colour is beautiful. I used it to make a pumpkin hat. It would work with any type of autumn vibe e.g hat, scarf. It is nice and thick so great coming up to winter aswell. It feels soft so comfortable to wear.
