The tag says wipe clean only. It seems highly impractical for the 100% cotton side.** A: I toss mine in the washer with my regular laundry. I put a little Dawn liquid on greasy spots. I put them in the dryer on Delicate. They still look great. **Q: Temperature threshold?** A: 500 degrees F according to their written info sheet **Q: Will the Cotten scorch using in grill or hot smoker?** A: One would assume they would burn if coming in contact with the coals, etc. I'm only answering to agree with Michael Palmer.
