Great product love Japanese weaponry
First I got the wrong size , but the company reached out and decided to make it right .. ordered 20 inch sais , smooth finish and matte black design on the weapon is flawless .. great value ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good for kata.
Construction, balance and quality are all good. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the handle wraps. They are some form of faux pleather that has been glued at the end. The glue residue slides all over the wrap. I replaced the wrap with 550 parachute cord, but baseball bat or tennis racket grip would work just as well. Overall, this is a great pair of sais.

Exactly what sai are supposed to look and feel like
Good balance and construction, and feel very much like the pair I had 40 years ago. They might seem too heavy if you're used to aluminum ones, but to me they're perfect. I chose the 18 inch ones because that's what I was taught on and am used to, but if your style/school expects the points to stick past your elbows, order the longer size. The only negative thing I can say about them is that I like string-wrapped grips better, but that's something I can fix myself, if the current wraps prove problematic. Overall, yes, I recommend them.

good but be careful for the size
great sai balanced, but i made a mistake by purchasing for the wrong size. I purchased for 18" but it should be at least 19.5" or 21", the return policy has re-stocking fee, and for the price of refund did make sense to return for the money back. so I decided to keep it.

these weapons are great to train with
For the price, these weapons are great to train with. As for weight they are a little forward heavy regarding balance. The weight in general is very heavy but that is ok to train with. I haven't dropped them yet so I can't say much about durability, however, there are no craftsmanship errors on the yoku. In the picture it shows a shiny black but they weapons you actually receive are more of a matte black. The handle does not look the same as the one in the picture either. The handle is wrapped in black leather without the gold strip, but seemed like it won't come off for a long time. I would recommend these to others, but do not buy these for throwing because the octagon shape throws off the balance (and like I said, they are not true to balance because they are for training).

Pass on these for actual training.
Out of balance too light in the ends or heavy in the haft. The fork was a little narrow for the hand. That plus the weight imbalance make these poor sai's. They are awful to use.

Recommend adding an extra inch when measuring
Recommend adding an extra inch when measuring. I properly measured, but the blades are about an inch too short. Good weight to them. Handle wrapping seems very good.

They aren't that expensive.. so I do notice some flaws. Chipped paint here or there, visible tape.
They came earlier than ecpected. Straight, decently balanced. And long enough for my arms to guard. Overall, good price, good product.
