Good quality material that is thin, but not so thin it will rip or tear. It has a zipper as well as a button front. You don't have to worry about getting too hot in this raincoat. Air flows through and keeps you cool. There are two front pockets that are convenient and deep enough you can put your cell phone without worrying about it getting wet. The hood provides full coverage and you don't have to worry about your hair getting wet. I'm 5' 3" and the length of this jacket came just above my knees. So if you are a tall person, this will be short on you. The arm length is the equivalent of a 3/4 sleeve.
