## Questions & Answers

**Q: How easy is the WebUI to navigate?**
A: "Easy" is a relative term, as in "one man's ceiling is another man's floor". Between WebUI, and WinBox (the free Mikrotik stand-alone app), you will likely find you prefer Winbox. Both do the same stuff, its' just WinBox lets you do it all easier (the only limit to the number of things you can "see" in WinBox is the size of your display and its resolution, while with WebUI you do see one thing at time, period).

FYI. I'm pretty adept with most consumer class routers. If your experience is similar, you may be less than prepared for intricacies of RouterOS. Here there be options. Lots of options... stuff I had no idea existed, let alone how important it could be lol. YMMV.

A better start for Mikrotik beginners might be one of the hAP routers, as they work consumer-wise "out of the box"; the hAP AC in particular was plug-and-play with about the same amount of work that I might expect with a new consumer-class Netgear or TP Link.

Compared to the RB1100AHx4 I spent the last two weeks configuring remote (and thank gawd I had the RB3011 as a "test lab" for at-times-nightmare), the whole hAP AC was a delight. "No problemo" lol.

...in case you weren't aware, Mikrotik boxes from the least-to-the-most expensive hardware all use the same RouterOS. You pay more, you get more (speed & flexibility mostly... or "at least at my plebian level"), but the language and concepts you configure it with is exactly identical, smallest to largest.

...it's pretty cool. Just do it.

**Q: Is this router actively cooled or is it passive? How loud is it if active?**
A: Passive cooled router and there are no fans. There is no noise since no cooling fans. Mine is barely even get warm after running from many days.

**Q: Can this router power an access point via ethernet port 10? in this case, it would be the trendnet tew-753dap (ieee 802.3af).**
A: depends, the AP would have to run off of 24v PoE not the more standard 48v, if it supports 24v then yes

**Q: what kind of power adapter included? (eu, uk, us, 220/110)**
A: US, 110.
