What tools would you use?** A: I didn't cut it myself,a friend did. I did note in some reviews they recommended cutting it whilst it's still in the plastic sleeve,to reduce chipping the surface during the cutting. This seemed sensible,so we did that and I would definitely recommend doing this. In answer to your question,we used a hacksaw. The result was good.
