This is the perfect little gooseneck desk or table lamp for lighting a work area. It's wonderful -- and minimal -- features and non-features include: o No bells or whistles to drive you insane -- such as turning itself on and off, obeying commands (that you will forget to give it). o Doesn't talk back or do things you don't want it to do. o It doesn't come with a name like Ilsa, Hal or Athena. o Not hooked up to a network that knows your every move. o It does not talk to you and interrupt your thoughts just as that bright idea dawns, in order to tell you something inconsequential. o It is not fangled, bangled or wrangled -- and did not come mangled or tangled. o Lightweight with a little neck that you can move manually to accommodate your work with quickly and with precision. o One bright and steady light that does not change to brighter or dimmer, so you don't have to waste time fiddling with it. o Cute little round base with a handy rocker switch that has just one task and that is to turn the lamp on and off. o Does not have to be fed or walked. o Reasonably priced, so you could get more than one (they will not mate). It's just a little champ of a lamp, and exactly what I wanted. It sits atop my desktop processor where does its job in silent companionship, and I love it.

I love this little lamp. Perfect size to sit on the desk. Takes liittle space and is very good at shining light on the work you're doing without being annoyingly bright. I love how you can adjust the neck to pint anywhere. My last one had a built in led light that could not be replaced so I had to throw it out. I like that you can change the lightbulb on this one. Having said that, I would rather pay an extra $3 dollars and that it actually came with the lightbulb.

I love the fact that it is made of actual metal. It is not cheaply built. There is one piece covering the base that is plastic, but it looks sturdy. I like the ability to replace the light bulb when it goes out. When I started looking for a new lamp, I was disgusted by how many of the newer models have a built in bulb, meaning once the bulb goes out, you have to replace the entire fixture. I really wanted something that would last and it looks like this will.
