Review: Very good e-collar, even though only 10 levels. Simple to use and works well. Need to be careful to ensure good contact with skin for my furry dog, but works great when contact is good and it's on snug.
Review: Just purchased and placed on three of my most barky pups. This Garmin Tri-Tronics Sport Pro Dog, PRO 550 trainer with auto barker, "Barklimiter" is the best bark trainer !! And humane to our dogs ! hey seem fine wearing the collars and have had not false alarms. We had used Petrainer for a year with success, until a couple of our Bernese Mountains Dogs learned to override, ignore the anti-bark setting. I do like Petrainer, as a starter or as less sophisticated trainer for the less challenging pup. There was way to much unnecessary, nuisance barking by three of our five hounds... After research and a friend referring this bark-trainer collar, we spent the big bucks and also purchased the 2 additional collars. The setting for the no bark auto setting works perfectly, with no false stimulation (zaps). We place the collars on the pups at about 6 PM, as they get to play out back in the evening through the night. There was a lot of the problem barking, with some howling, accrued from their night/sleeping kennel dog house. Then I remove the collars during the day to give them a break. As the collars fit snug, I want to be sure there's some collar free time. I did change out the pins for the longer ones. Berners have two very thick furry coats. The assembly is a bit time consuming out of the box. You just need some quiet time to follow the through instructions in English, for me. Lots of parts and pieces. If you've installed a bark trainer before, I think it helps you understand where you're going in the assembly. The batteries have not had to be recharged yet. I assume they will last a while. As this trainer is very well engineered and well built with quality materials. Water resistant, haven't had that challenge with the collars. I trimmed the collars tails, plenty of length provided for the biggest pups. I've not switched back and forth using the remote to change setting, while the dogs are wearing the collars. I'm sure they will work well, too, as I tested the functions, when I placed the collars on the dogs. Maybe a bit cumbersome changing between the auto anti bark Continuous "Barklimiter" on, then off to use the Vibrate, Tone and light setting. I'm getting to know those settings. Then when you need to quickly reactivate the "Barklimiter". I'm still getting the hang of that. The first night, Boomer, my big male, somehow had the light on continuously in the backyard. He looked like a lit up Furry Christmas tree, until I figured out that I'd turned the light feature on. A great bright feature, if you need the night location of your pup. I do turn the collars off, when removed, to save the batteries. Then I get more practice learning how to use the remote, as it takes some practice to get the hang of operating it. The only downside is the pups don't bark at the deer coming in the yard or the UPS delivery guy. I promise you this bark trainer with "Barklimiter" will change you and your pups life for the better. An instant stress reducer ! First thing my husband said, when the "Barklimiter" worked, was YES !!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Trying to choose between this one and the garmin delta sport xc. how much better is this remote over the other remote? thank you.**
A: I can't speak to which is "better" because I didn't purchase the sport xc, so I have nothing to compare it to. There is no led window in the one I purchased but quite frankly you don't need it. The toggle on the top of pro makes it easy to remember which dog has which setting, top (dog 1), middle (dog 2), bottom (dog 3) and we do have three dogs. The intensity wheel is easily increased to whatever level is necessary to get their attention, the "number" isn't really that important. When they are misbehaving, which isn't very often now that they have been taught where the boundary's are, it is easy to feel the toggle switch. That way I don't have to take my eyes off of the dogs and look at a screen. I can not speak highly enough about how this device has simplified our life. My daughter has a dog that likes to play bite as they are running around with high energy. I have been able to use a collar to teach him how to play acceptably and avoid dog fights from 100 yds away. It doesn't get any better than that!

**Q: Is the bark limiter stimulation automated or does is always require a manual button press? also, can dog a's barking activate dog b's stimulation?**
A: Tri-tronics bark collars don't use a microphone to determine when a dog barks. They use vibrations sensed by the collar against the neck. Therefore dog A will NOT receive stimulation if dog B, standing beside him, barks.

**Q: will this fit on a 18 lbs Dachshund**
A: I personally don’t agree with any answers in these Q&A questions that would suggests there isn’t a size of dog this should be used on. This is one of the largest training collar receivers I’ve ever seen. It’s also not light competitively either. Despite how great it and the features may be I would not use this in a dog under 30lbs. The collar is designed to go to a very small circumference but that’s not in any way inductive of the size of dog that should use this. This is designed fir hunting dogs the typical breed of which aren’t under 30 lbs.

**Q: Why does this product only has "10" levels of stimulation and others have "100"?**
A: It's basically the same.... It just compiles the 100 levels into 10. 1=1-10, 2=11-20, etc.... You really only need 1-3 in my opinion. If training correctly, you will rarely even use the last option, if ever.
