New Dolphin Water Pump with an Extra Short Tube and a Sanitary Cap

This replaced an electric water pump that died. This one has held up well. It takes a few pumps to "prime the system" and start the water flowing. The water keeps flowing a bit after you stop pumping. Once you use it a few times it you get the hang of it. I am happy to use a device that does not need batteries or a charge.

We read a lot of reviews about the Avalon water bottle cooler and it stunk we returned it now what we have all these bottles of water. My mother-in-law said you have to try the dolphin. We got it in one day. We couldn’t be happier. It is fantastic. All we do is put the water in the jug and we stick it in the fridge if we need cold water no big deal we like room temperature water anyway and it’s better for the body. This is awesome I have to recommend this 1000% by the way, the water flows out so nicely with the big pump. I love it.

Ended up choosing this after researching water coolers for a week. We keep our 5 gallon in the garage fridge and now I don’t have to worry about cleaning hoses in a water cooler and maintaining another appliance! Faster flow rate compared to how long you would wait holding a button on a cooler.

This product works fine and was fairly easy to install. However, it is quite large. Much larger than it appears. Overall, no "real" issues though.

We just wanted a manual pump for the 5 gal water jugs. We are trying to cut down on buying the 24 packs of water. We bought 16 oz glass bottles through Amazon & fill them with our spring water. This pumps works well. Just make sure to tighten everything every time you put it back on as it comes a bit loose. The little ring that holds the cap on at the end broke after we used our first bottle, no big deal, we just set it on the table and put it back on when we are done. I like that it's manually operated, way more portable.

Whatever type of plastic this manufacturer uses, it leeches into the water. I had mine in use for just a couple of days before I noticed a strange taste to my water. A quick sniff into the jug revealed the culprit. I cannot imagine that whatever chemicals were behind the smell were healthy to ingest. This product is trash as best, potentially toxic at worst.

This the ONLY hand pump to buy, the cheap knockoffs do not provide the quality of this item. ONLY buy the ORIGINAL DOLPHIN pump...

Works perfectly for the 4 gallon container of water I keep on the counter in my pantry! I use Members Mark purified water from Sam’s Club and this pump fits and works as it should.

Update: This is my 2nd Dolphin pump. I was so happy with the first one which I've been testing every day in the house for a few months that I wanted another one. I bought the 1st one for my airstream to have in the kitchen when not hooked up to water. I bought the 2nd one to have in the bathroom where I wanted a smaller 2 gallon jug. The pump fits and works just as well on both the 5 gal and the 2 gal jug. I've loaded a photo of both sizes so you can see how it fits. For the smaller jug I just had to saw off about 1 inch of the internal tube to fit. I'm extremely happy with the quality. First Review: A friend told me to get this because her son uses it when he travels and he loves it. It was exactly what I needed for my airstream, but when I read all the reviews I became skeptical of the quality. I decided to trust the feed back from the person I knew rather than the not to stellar reviews I read on Amazon.ca. I'm very glad I did, because I love it and it's solved so many problems for me. It arrived in good packaging, the pump quality is great and it has pumped water with a good consistent stream every time. I have not experienced anything negative with this water pump and I've been using it for everyday for several months now. I would definitely purchase it again.

This is the 3rd one we have bought. They last several years so there is that. They use to come with a tube brush for cleaning but this one did not, good thing I still have the last one. These work, They just always work. even when there is no power. They tend to break at the top part where the tube goes into the pumper part. That seems to be the weak spot but by the time it breaks there they are several years old and probably need to be replaced anyways. I always look for this brand.

Does not smell like plastic - a big plus. But it lags when the bottle is half-full and sometimes allows for drops to fall on the surface.

Love the dolphin pump. First one I bought over 5 years ago and it’s still working. Bought this one for my girlfriend.
