Works well with cat 6 cables copper cables, both with and without the plastic separator. There's was someone mentioning issues with solid cables, those wires are thicker and in general it's always better to use wall-jacks for solid, to avoid long term issues, due to not being as durable when it comes to bending. Copper cables can also come in different sizes measured in AWG, so it's important to check that they fit. I had issues with aluminium/CCA cables which I was re-crimping, but CCA cables are always a nightmare with any plug, due to that they move around a lot, far more than copper.

When you're working with ethernet cables, having quality connectors makes all the difference between a job that goes smoothly and one that's frustrating and wasteful. These Cable Matters connectors are the real deal – they're well-made, reliable, and designed to work perfectly with pass-through crimping tools. The pass-through design is what sets these apart from standard connectors. Instead of having to carefully trim and arrange the wires inside a closed connector, you can feed them all the way through, making sure everything's lined up correctly before you crimp. This dramatically reduces mistakes and wasted connectors. You can see exactly what you're doing, verify the wire order at a glance, and get consistent results every time. The gold plating on the contacts is a nice touch. That 50 micron gold plating isn't just for show – it provides better conductivity and resistance to corrosion compared to unplated connectors. When you're making cables that need to last and perform reliably, that kind of quality matters. You're not going to have issues with degraded connections or signal problems down the line. These are specifically designed for Cat 6 cable, and they fit perfectly. The sizing is spot on – not too tight where you're forcing the cable in, and not too loose where you don't get a secure connection. They accommodate the proper cable diameter and work smoothly with the crimping process. That proper fit is crucial for maintaining the cable's performance specifications. The build quality is consistently good across the pack. I haven't run into any defective or malformed connectors in the batch. Each one is properly manufactured with clean edges and properly aligned contacts. When you're buying a 100-pack, that consistency is important. You don't want to be sorting through looking for good ones or dealing with failures during installation. Having 100 connectors in a pack is incredibly practical. If you're doing any kind of volume work – whether it's wiring up a building, running cables for a network installation, or just handling multiple projects – you need a good supply of connectors on hand. Running out in the middle of a job is a hassle, and this quantity means you're well-stocked. Even if you're making mistakes or need to redo a few cables, you've got plenty to work with. The connectors work smoothly with standard pass-through crimping tools. The crimping action is clean, and the connectors secure properly without cracking or deforming. You get a solid, professional-looking crimp that's mechanically and electrically sound. The cable stays firmly attached, and the connection is reliable. Performance-wise, these maintain the Cat 6 specifications you need. When you're going to the trouble of using Cat 6 cable, you want connectors that won't be the weak link in your installation. These support the bandwidth and performance requirements without causing signal degradation or interference issues. Your network runs at the speed it should. The clear design is actually helpful. Being able to see the wire arrangement through the connector means you can quickly verify everything's correct even after it's crimped. That visual confirmation is useful for troubleshooting and quality checking your work. It's a small detail that adds practical value. Packaging is straightforward – they come in a container that keeps them organized and protected. You're not dealing with a loose bag where connectors are getting damaged or tangled. The container is resealable, so you can take out what you need and keep the rest in good condition. Value for money is excellent. When you break down the per-connector cost in a 100-pack, you're getting professional quality components at a price that makes sense. Compared to buying smaller quantities or dealing with cheap knockoffs that don't work reliably, this is the smarter investment. For anyone doing network cable installations, whether professionally or for personal projects, having a good supply of quality connectors is essential. These Cable Matters pass-through connectors deliver the quality and consistency you need to do the job right. They work well, they last, and they help you create reliable network connections that'll perform properly for years. Really satisfied with the quality and value this pack provides.
