Mine does. I hope it's not rancid. I didn't use it for cooking; only used it on a salad.** A: It is stronger and more pungent than most olive oils and ever so slightly bitter, in a good way (it tastes very olivy). It should not be bitter to the point of tasting rancid. At first, I was inclined to think the only reason for the bad reviews were some people were accustomed to extremely bland food. But there are also some reviewers claiming they had it before and loved it, and the one from amazon was bad. **Q: Is this in a glass or plastic container?** A: Im not sure but in the markets here in Baltimore Md they're are in glass containers so Im guessing glass.... Baltimore is where Pompeian is made as well :) **Q: Can this be used for cooking?** A: The robusto version of this oil has a strong olive oil flavor while I use the smooth version for my day to day cooking. Robusto will give you strong olive oil taste while smooth will not. **Q: is it IOOC certified?** A: I think you mean IOC, International Olive Council. The NAOOA, North American Olive Oil Association is the leader in this certification.
