Sodium-Free Salt Alternative, 11 Oz

This stuff is $3 (about £2) in the USA, but here in the UK we pay over the odds. Very few salt-free products are available in the UK sadly, but this is one of them. Getting the quantity right is the tricky bit. Just enough and it tastes like real salt. Too much and it has an unusual bitter taste. I'm on a DASH diet and I can use this stuff as much as I like. Recommended.

NoSalt is the perfect replacement for anyone concerned about their blood pressure and the role sodium plays in maintaining dangerously high blood pressure levels. NoSalt is a premium product. Its taste and texture are the same as sodium-based salt, but without the high blood pressure-causing sodium. As a salt lover, I have been an immediate convert to NoSalt. Something I know my doctors will be very happy about.

The product is fine. This is my 2nd order. Cannot understand with all the health problems in the UK, why this is so expensive and not available in the shops like it is in places like Spain.

Slightly different taste to normal salt but it has lasted a LONG time and I was a bit meh about the price but actually it was worth it. I would highly recommend it.

Great alternative for salt. I use it to get my potassium daily intake when fasting. It's a bargain for the price.

It’s what it says ‘sodium-free alternative’ when there really is no like for like salt substitute. The saltiness comes from potassium which is ok if using a very small amount, for me it leaves a slight metallic after taste so only three *

There is a slight difference in taste to some salts, but not as much as you’d notice. The health benefits far outweigh that. The potassium is better for you and counteracts some of the harmful effects of the normal sodium chloride salt that you have in your diet. Don’t use if you have problems with your kidneys though.

This product is sincerely horrible with a very disgusting after taste I really thought I’d seen another option but nahhh rather not use no salt than this no salt product.

But I thought I needed to. I didn’t have high hopes for this stuff. But WARNING you only need the tiniest bit of this no salt substitute compared to how much you would use if this was salt otherwise the taste is way to overpowering and strong. But if you put the smallest amount it tastes almost identical taste salt! I have heart failure so I’m on a sodium restriction & it was really limiting what I could eat & make, not anymore thanks to this stuff. I’m so excited that I tried & found this brand :)

Full strength left a ‘different’ salty taste in my mouth, so I mixed it half and half with table salt. This was successful, giving real salt flavor with no discernable difference from 100% table salt. Also, I used less of the mixture than I would have using 100% salt. Definitely pleased with the product so far. The acid test was on my daily popcorn…….success!

I bought this product as I had heard that it tastes exactly like salt. Unfortunately , this is not true for me. It has very strange " taste" and it remains my mouth after eating. Or to be accurate, it cause strange feeling in mouth. I can't tolerate with this feeling and will toss away the product sadly. It may work with others but not for me.

I’m not a big salt person so this does the trick although you have to find the right balance. It is an acquired taste

This product is a wonderful alternative to salt for those with salt-restricted diets. It tastes like salt without the ill effects of salt, and there is no strange after-taste. It is a great value for the money.
