Review: Foster Madden is in for the fight of his life!! - Pure and simple Garnet Flats brought me immense joy. I love this world of The Edens that Devney Perry has created, and Talia & Foster's love story was sexy sweet perfection! Talia Eden is strength and beauty. She isn't ready to forgive the man who shattered her heart, and she doesn't know if she ever will. Foster Madden is in Quincy, Montane for one reason: Talia Eden. He knows winning her back after seven years is going to be near impossible, but he is used to the fight. As a champion fighter he is has survived his share of rounds in the ring and Foster knows he will have to go more than one round with Talia to win her back. With Foster comes a slew of secrets that threaten to unravel the very shaky ground Talia and him have started to rebuild. Will their second chance even really begin before the secrets that Foster tried to protect Talia from start to come out or will Foster be left without the only woman he has ever loved? Foster was no saint, he made horribly choices when it came to Talia but the way he showed her how much he loved her it almost made the heartache worth it, almost. With the constant comfort he offered her, as well as slow dances in the kitchen, temple kisses and hot steamy scenes I didn't expect it was no surprise Talia fell for him all over again. The Edens has been my favorite series of Devney Perry's so far and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us with the rest of Talia's siblings. Especially Mateo. Review: Favorite of the series! - **Mild spoilers for this review** Personally, I think this series has gotten better with each book. This is my favorite one so far! Indigo Ridge was a good suspense book for me, but the romance was awful in my opinion. Juniper Hill was a sweet romance with Knox and Memphis, but I LOVED the heart tugging second chance romance between Foster and Talia! They had chemistry from the very first page and the author was so good at pulling you right in to the shattered pieces of their past relationship and warming your heart as Foster swept back in to Taliaโs life to rebuild what they had. Foster is a new favorite MMC for me! I think he has been the sweetest and most humble out of the men of this series so far. He moved to Quincy to win Talia back, but he wasnโt overhanded or arrogant, he just knew he wouldnโt leave until he was able to fix his mistakes and give their relationship another chance. I do think this story was soooooooooo drawn out in telling us the reason for Fosterโs marriage to Vivienne. There was no reason to have so many scenes and chances for Talia to find out what had happened but then just not say it. It felt like just filling pages to make it longer. Especially the snow angel scene! I was so frustrated when Talia is mad at Foster and wanting answers, then randomly making snow angels with him, then just randomly walking inside while he is talking. Once everything is talked out and they start reconnecting it was so much better! Fosterโs fight was a HUGE disappointment and almost made me change my rating to 3 stars. That fight was built up through this whole book so I was expecting a Rocky Balboa, fight for your life and defend your title match ๐ There were only two hits and Foster left without a scratch?!?! Big flop for me. Because I loved Foster and Taliaโs story I will keep 4 stars and say theirs is still my favorite book so far. Definitely recommend!

3.5 stars. worth the read but not my favorite in the series.
Talia and Foster. I have mixed feelings about this book, I really wanted to like it more than I did. Now with that said I didnโt hate this book, I did enjoy it and I love the Edenโs, but this wasnโt my favorite. The whole book just kind of felt rushed, I did love that Foster fought for his love. But it was just back to back betrayal almost. Like heโs fighting for the love of his life but having intimate conversations with his ex? I understand Foster had no choice and was blackmailed, and I appreciate that he was never sexual with Vivi, but they still raised a daughter together. He still treats her as his best friend, while she literally commits one of the biggest betrayals to him. I wish we had more of Talia and Fosters love building and less constant drama. The sister getting mad she didnโt know, Foster still being there for his ex and calling her โviviโ it just rubbed me wrong. I know they raised a child together, but it just felt like he wasnโt letting that part go and was just going to continue, I mean he literally tells Talia โsheโs my best friendโ. Foster had no choice, but Vivi had every choice to fight against her father at some point in my opinion, but she got to date for 2 years while Foster had to wait until her dad died to have a life. I just ugh so many mixed emotions, I do love Fosters character, and I do love him and Talia together, but I just canโt place this book high eithin the Edenโs. Still 3.5 stars and a good read, but it just rubbed me wrong in several areas. I also felt like the suspense was more focused on Vivi than the actual main characters.

Foster and Talia
Iโm not usually I big fan of second chance romance, but there was just something about this one that I loved. I found it to be a bit more emotional than the first two books in the series. I felt for both Foster and Talia. Seven years ago, Foster broke Taliaโs heart when he married her best friend. But now heโs in Quincy to win her back. Foster Madden was prepared to do whatever it took to get Talia back. He was not the same desperate boy who was forced into a marriage of convenience. He was the man ready to claim the love of his life. Foster had a lot of wrongs to right when it came to Talia and he really had to work to get her to even listen to his truths. And once she knew his whole story, it still took her time to process everything sheโd been told. I loved the way they came back together and the acceptance Talia showed Kadence. Taliaโs forgiveness of Vivienne might have been the biggest surprise for me. It really showed the kind of character Talia was, Iโm not sure I could have forgiven her had I been in Taliaโs position. This was an exceptional story. I loved that it was broken down into rounds just like every other fight Foster had had in his UFC career.

Solid Second Chance Romance!
Foster and Taliaโs story was such a change in pace from Knox/Memphis and Griffin/Winn, which was perfect for the third book in this series. Filled with a lot more angst, Garnet Flats follows Foster and Talia at their second chance at love. And it all boils down to one question: Can Talia forgive Foster once she knows the truth of what happened 7 years ago? There were so many things about this book that I loved. Fosterโs relentless pursuit of Talia. His unending apologies, how he never shied away from the fact that he thought he was doing what was right to protect everyone, but he knows Talia is the one who ended up hurt the most, and how he will do whatever it takes to make up for it. I loved Kadence and what she added to the story. HOWEVER, the little twist with Vivi upset me with her character, especially when everyone expected Foster to just forgive her so quickly. She put not only her own life in danger, but also her child and her childโs father in danger (because what was to stop the Dexโs bookie from coming after them to prove a point) because of โloveโ for a man who had been lying to you for years about going in with YOUR FATHER, the man who ruined your life and Fosterโs, on the same fights that started this whole mess? And youโre going to still cling to โloveโ him, when he would do nothing for you, and ask Foster who has already sacrificed everything for you and your child to make another sacrifice (WHEN HE ALREADY OFFERED TO PAY 3 MILLION BUT DEX WONT TAKE IT BC HIS PRIDE WOULD BE HURT)? I just couldnโt accept that from her. It ruined her character for me, and honestly, it would take me lover than a month to forgive her or want to work on a friendship with her again, because in that moment she showed only selfishness. BUT, besides Vivi in that moment, these characters and their trials had my heart. I felt like this was the most emotional of the books so far. I canโt wait to read the next book, and I have a feeling Eloise and Jackson are going to be quite the pair!

Foster and Talia
For some reason I skipped this one in the series. BIG mistake. True to form, it had all the spice, but it also had suspense. Foster wasn't just a middle weight UFC champion, he was fighting another championship, moving to Montana and fighting the BIGGEST fight of his life.

Small Town Feels & Second Chance Romance- What More Could you Want!
I had the pleasure of reading this in the car on the way down to Florida to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. It was my reprieve in between my children not napping and kept me sane LOL. I noticed that this book has a lower rating than the other in this series so went in a little unsure but honestly I enjoyed it! I do understand other people's hesitations though I mean your boyfriend marries your BF of course you want him dead, but once we heard Foster's side I got it (kind of). This is the third book in this series and focuses on Talia (Lyla's twin). She is the first sister of the Edens that has gotten a book, and I am glad we got to hear her story first! Talia is a shell of herself. To the outside world, all is well, but she has not been ok since she moved from Vegas to Seattle alone instead of with the love of her life, now world champion boxer Foster Madden. That was 7 years ago and she has not been able to move on from the pain. It also doesn't help that she lives in Quincy where the dating pool is 0. She is happy that two of her brothers have found their partners and grown their family but secretly she wants that but only with one person, Foster. She is still stunned to see him walk into the hospital where she works asking to speak with her. She does what any sane woman would do in this situation and hides and then runs away. He ends up finding her and she knows right away that their chemistry hasn't died at all. Even though she is hurt, she recognizes hurt in him as well. She wants to know what happened but doesn't know if her heart can take it. Foster is eventually able to get her to hear him out, after a reconnection of passion and then regret by Talia, about why he married Vivienne, Talia's BF. It appears that Vivienne's dad, who trained Foster and brought him up through the ranks, was not a good man. He had Foster in a corner that he couldn't find a way out of which ended up breaking Talia's heart. Talia thinks she is mending from this when another surprise comes when Vivienne comes into town. The hits keep on coming when Talia thinks she is over that but nope- Vivienne's dad's ways have hit home and Foster has been asked to do the unthinkable once again. But now he has Talia by his side and he is hoping that the decision will be easier for him- will it? This book hit on a few things that I liked. There was the regret of bad communication and things being misinterpreted. There was the angst of still having the chemistry but not sure if they would be able to overcome the other hurdles thrown their way. There was Foster coming from a small not super loving family to be introduced to all of Talia's family who despite knowing how he treated her, welcome him with open arms (after some pointed comments). This one did lack in the "suspense" aspect like the others, but I didn't mind that. I have been on a big second chance romance kick and this one did not disappoint. Again, I understand people's hesitation with this one but I liked their rekindling and how Foster ended up treating Talia like the queen she is. I am looking forward to continuing on through the Eden children to Eloise who mistakenly married Jasper (Foster's trainer). Hope you enjoy!

This book. Thatโs it. I don't know what Devney Perry put it in because it was pure magic! I could not put it down, I read it in a day. No shame! I loved this book. This book is heartbreaking, emotional, and itโs filled with so much suspense and twist that itโs not predictable. But, Foster and Tallyโs chemistry is ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐! ๐ฅต๐ฅ Seven years ago, Foster broke Taliaโs heart when he married her best friend. Talia, is such a badass women! Sheโs returned home to Quincy, Montana to finish her residency at her hometown hospital. Sheโs worked hard, but feels because of who she is, and who her family is, sheโs not taken seriously. She comes from a large, and very loving family. One of six siblings and she has a twin sister. She chose medicine over a family run business. Sheโs become a bit of a workaholic since college. Her family noticed a difference in her when she finally came home but she refused to discuss this with anyone, even her twin sister. Foster grew up in a very different home environment. Living in Las Vegas, his parents were more concerned with where they would get money for their next bet (gambling problem). He has been held under the thumb of a man he once trusted. Heโs finally come to Quincy to claim what he had given up seven years earlier. Talia. Heโs willing to do whatever it takes for another chance with the only woman who has ever held claim to his heart. What he finds when he arrives, is an extremely angry and and hurt woman. A woman who was betrayed by her boyfriend and her college best friend. "๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐. ๐ป๐๐๐ ๐ฐ'๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐." The Edenโs are wrecking me! Iโm so obsessed with them so much, that Iโm flying through the whole series! This family has been an loving escape for me and Iโm ready to go to Eden Ranch in Quincy, Montana. **That sneak peak of Jasper Vale in the epilogue of this book ๐ฑ I absolutely cannot wait to dive in and start reading it!

The perfect second chance romance
Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again. When I first read the blurb for Garnet Flats, I had the tiniest doubt that this trope would be for me. The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows itโs all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But heโs got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks sheโll help him train for a world championship fight. After a second, I realised this was a Devney Perry book, and no matter what, I trusted that whatever the narrative, I would love it, and Iโm extremely happy to tell you I was right, Garnet Flats is the story you didnโt know you needed but you absolutely do! This isnโt your ordinary second chance romance, this is a once in a lifetime love that never died. Foster has some secrets to reveal and a lot of forgiveness to beg for, but when he manages to break through the hard shell of hurt his actions caused, he and Thalia can finally live their happily ever after. Foster is an absolute dream book boyfriend, he made a stupid choice when he was younger, one he never realised would mean losing the only woman he ever loved, but the pain he went through, the man he was then and now, is everything I love about a romance read. I adored Talia too, she was hurt beyond imagine with Fosterโs betrayal, more than she even realises until Foster appears in her hometown and six years of anger burst free. She also paid the price for Fosterโs bad choices and she doesnโt let him back in, or forgive easily, even when it would be easier to do so. I canโt tell you enough how good this book is. I absolutely love Devneyโs Edens series and theyโre just getting better and better, plus with the tease at the end, I can feel thatโs going to continue with the rest of the Eden siblings.

4.5 "K.O." Stars
Second chance romance is one of these tropes I particularly like, therefore I was ecstatic about Garnet Flats. Talia and Foster's story was one filled with heartbreak, but also redemption. I was really curious about this couple since getting a glimpse at them in the Juniper Hill's epilogue. I was easily immersed in this novel full of feels. I enjoyed how we kept going from past to present to gradually learn more about the demise of Talia and Foster's relationship years earlier. Their past was so much more complicated than what it seemed at first. They fell in love so effortlessly and it was clear they shared a special connection. The intrigue and the reasons behind their breakup were a real surprise and made this read so intriguing. Despite the years apart, Foster never ceased to love Talia. He broke his heart at the same time he broke hers. It was nice to see him so determined to win Talia back. In his every action, his love for her was so easy to feel. II enjoyed how Talia had a backbone and made him grovel to win back her affection. Their reunion was intense and full of hurt, but also passion and love. They were truly beautiful! As much as I liked this novel, I felt the flow of the story was a little off, hence the reason I didn't rate it higher. I felt everything really happened in the second half of the book and the first half was dragging at times. Garnet Flats is so worth the read though for all the emotions it packs.

Oh god
this book make me sob so hard. i cannot describe how much i was protective over talia. so Foster haved to work for both of us, but i was definitely worth it. i love them and in the end i was supper protective over him too, but honestly i wish that didn't take him so long for him to go out for the love of his life. i mean... 7 years its a long time! i also wish that became more clear that he would have donne that even if arlo's was alive. because what if this guy lived for more 10, 15, 20 years? i also not like Viviane not even a little. i think talia should be more hard with her (and foster too). but i love talia and foster and wish a ton of baby for them.

The Edens Book 3
If you want something bad enough you should fight for it, even if you are not sure you can win! The third full book in The Edens, Garnet Flats is a fabulous story of love, loss, and forgiveness. Talia and Foster are well suited and you truly feel like you are on a journey with them, hoping they will find each other again on the other side of the heartbreak. The story is unique and delivered superbly and one I think reader will fall in love with.
