Such a great harness! We love the color and the sturdiness. It's well made with a durable material (similar to outdoor gear for humans) and is able to handle our dog who loves to go for walks at a fast clip. Our favorite part of the harness is the handle on top. Our dog sometimes gets spooked and it's really nice to have that control. I also feel like it works a little like a thunder vest because it's a bigger harness. I think it makes her feel secure and it's also comforable since it has padding in all the right areas. She's 40 lbs, has a deep broad chest and smaller waist, and a size small fit her perfectly.

I have 2 beagles - and they pull HARD (they like to follow the nose like most hounds do). After our male beagle going through almost a harness every month for the last 6 months or so (we have tried all kinds) We found this and decided to try this one on our male so I ordered it hoping that it would work a little magic and help out. He has ripped through torn off, slipped out of, and shredded harness after harness. So we recieved this on Friday and have used it a few times, and I'm already noticing a difference - Other Harnesses would - - slide all over him - not help in his pulling - frusterate him to the point he would just take them off (while we were walking) - Not stand up to his pulling - as he shredding a Reinforced harness just by pulling after only a week of owning it - some of them never fit him good because of his length and slim design - one we bought him he just wanted to chew it, its like it tasted so good he chewed holes in it - we had one harness where after 2 days all the stitching came out of it and it was suppose to be durable for up to 80 lbs of pulling and he's only 35 lbs. I was not happy at all RUFFWEAR WEB MASTER HANRESS - AMAZING in just 2 days - - He doesn't pull as much as he has been. - He doesn't mind wearing it, infact we put it on him and he ran off an went to go to sleep in his bed - It doesn't slide all over him it fits him securely and when i need to get his nose focused away from something its super easy. - The handle on the back for lifting it just down right awesome - especially since we hike a lot - he Loves to walk even more now that before, - It has a durable feel and quality to it, that i'm sure is going to last. - THE RED color is very bright and helps me see him better when he's running around the lake without having to put hunting colored items on him. ALL IN ALL I'm and HAPPY and IMPRESSED with this product - I'll probable re-review it in a few months to see if anything changes but we hare satisfied now, and I'm happy we can get back to enjoying out workouts.

I have tried so many different harnesses and this one is the ONLY one that beagle/blue heeler mix HAS NOT been able to escape! She is quite the Houdini and has escaped anything we have ever put on her. We have been using this one for months and she cannot get out of it. It has been the best money spent. I never leave reviews but I am impressed with this harness and it has been well worth the money. The strap near the belly region really makes a difference. I love the fabric handle on the back. I can literally pick her up and carry her if I want to. My beagle/heeler mix and my pit mix don’t seem to be bothered by the harness and wear it pretty much all the time. Other harnesses have rubbed off hair or left irritation on the dogs but this one really hasn’t. It’s padded and seems comfy to them. They don’t hide when I try to put it on them. Best harness and worth the money if you have a Houdini dog like me.

Love love love this harness! I have a lab mix with a very big chest and he can’t escape out of it and I’m able to adjust his chest to a bigger size and his belly to a smaller size. He also seems very comfortable in it. I like the padding it doesn’t rub his armpits like other harnesses we’ve had. I do wish they had more colors like fun colors! My only main complaint though is that it’s hard to figure out which size. I originally got the medium for him and I either wasn’t adjusting it right or it just didn’t fit so we returned it got the size up and it’s on the tightest it can go so if he ever loses weight I’ll have to buy something else which will be unfortunate (especially since it’s on the pricier side). My other dog is the same size as him, but she doesn’t have a big chest and I tried it on her and it doesn’t fit her at all. Now I’m wishing I would’ve tried on the medium size on her before I returned it to see if it would even work for her. I would love to order the medium for her to try it out. I just feel nervous I would have to return it because the sizing is a little difficult. Overall though it’s my favorite harness ever! It looks like he has a little tank top on which is so cute😊

This harness was a lifesaver for my granddoggie. She’s part bull terrier and part pit bull- skinny neck and pure muscle who can escape anything. For a long time, I couldn’t babysit Lulu for long periods because walks were too risky. This harness kept my Hudini by my side! It is also great because there’s lots of padding on the underside (she’s also old) so; when I do need to carry her silly butt, I have handles to grab onto to get us started. Love this harness- well worth the price. Well made too.

I tried the new Ruffwear Webmaster for my whippets after a previous version was the only harness that fit my whippets in length, chest, and did not cut into the shoulders. The new version looked good to me with a more padded chest strap and a neck closure instead of having to slip the harness over the head (which is not a problem for my dogs but more for me as they tend to get impatient and wiggle around). I also liked the idea of having a front attachment for a leash, the older version has leash attachments on the back only. Unfortunately this version of the Webmaster harness no longer works for whippets. While it is of the same great quality, the chest strap is so wide that it rubs into the shoulders when the dogs walks. The front attachment does not make much for improvement of the older version- it is made from fabric and plastic which I wouldn't trust in the long run. All in all it's still a high quality harness, but I'm really disappointed that it no longer works for whippets and similar dogs that are narrow but deep in the chest. I hope Ruffwear will keep the previous versions available, as it is very hard to find a well fitting quality harness for these dogs. I wish Ruffwear would give more details regarding sizing besides just chest girth. Back/thorax length are necessary to consider with a 2 strap harness. The chest strap on the new Webmaster is 2.5 inches, the space between shoulder bones of my dog is 1.75 inches. Would save a lot of returns if more detailed info was provided to the customer. Love this harness. Easy on and off. Secure all around dog and handle on it is very helpful controlling and lifting. The only thing different I would have liked was the brighter turquoise color she had before her old one wore out. They didn't offer it now but that's just a minor thing.

Terrific build quality on the harness. Doesn't seem flimsy or weak, looks like it'll hold up for a couple of years. Tons of adjustability to make sure your pet has the most comfort. No movement restriction at all and plenty of room for when they go potty.

Vor der Renzension eine kurze Beschreibung der Trägerin: Schulterhöhe 35 cm, Brustumfang 53 cm, 11 kg, sehr schlanke, athletische Figur - Ungarischer Straßenhund, undefinierbarer Mischling, erinnert optisch etwas an eine sehr geschrumpfte Mixtur aus Labrador und Doberman. Charakteristisch ist erst einmal die anfängliche Angst vor geschlossenen Räumen (war vorher wohl noch nie innerhalb von vier Wänden oder unter einer Zimmerdecke) und die unbändige Freude, mit anderen Hunden zu spielen. Ist superschnell, wendig und in der Natur kaum einzufangen, wenn sie nicht will. Das stellt uns vor folgende Probleme: Auf dem Weg in fremde Gebäude stemmt sich der Hund anfänglich (zuhause geht es mittlerweile) gegen die Leine. Wenn sie Hunde erblickt, möchte sie um alles in der Welt unbedingt mit den Artgenossen spielen, egal ob wir, die anderen Hunde oder deren Besitzer dies möchten. Auch hier wird sich gegen die Leine gestemmt, sollte das "Spielziel" hinter uns sein. Nun mag mancher denken: "Dann lass die Süße doch spielen" - was man schon mal von Hundebesitzern hört, die selbst nicht so viel Wert auf Erziehung legen (klar kann man den Hund auch den ganzen Tag allein im Garten lassen, wenn man es nicht schafft, dass der eigene Hund normal Gassi gehen kann oder auf den Namen hört). Ein an sich freudiges Ereignis kann auch schnell gefährlich werden. Unser Hund sieht grundsätzlich erst einmal jeden Hund als potentiellen Spielkameraden an, auch wenn der andere mitunter keine Lust auf Kontakt hat und eher in eine bissige Richtung einzuordnen ist. Unserer Kleinen ist auch egal, ob und was um sie herum geschieht, wenn Spiel und Spaß lockt. In einer Stadt oder in der Nähe von viel befahrenen Straßen kann das tödlich enden. Als es nun geschah, dass sich unser Wirbelwind in solchen Situationen schnell mal aus Standardgeschirr und Halsband herauswindete, musste eine Lösung her. Bei der Recherche sind wir auf Ruffwear-Produkte gestoßen, die als zusätzliche Sicherung einen dritten Gurt um den Bauch anbieten. Beim ersten Anprobieren fällt schon auf, dass hier ein guter Halt geboten ist. Es verrutscht nicht, obwohl die Gurte nur annähernd passend eingestellt waren. Sehr positiv. Die Polster um die unteren Gurte sind auch ein nettes Detail, zumal sich unsere Hündin viel und schnell bewegen kann; da wird wohl nichts einschneiden. Die Verarbeitung wirkt äußerst hochwertig, gute Nähte, robuste Materialien. Auch wenn das Geschirr erst ein paar Tage im Einsatz war, macht es den Eindruck, dass es lange halten wird. Obwohl hier auch mehr Fläche des Hundes "belegt" wird, macht es ihr nichts aus, es den ganzen Tag zu tragen- scheint also bequem zu sein, löblich. Der Halsgurt lässt sich nicht öffnen, also muss der Hund mit dem Kopf durch. Bei unserer Dame war dies kein Problem, bei anderen Hunden mag dies erst mit etwas Übung klappen. Schwierig wird es, wenn der Vierbeiner unruhiger Natur ist. Unser erster Hund - Labrador-Mischling - war vor lauter Freude nach draußen zu gehen, kaum zu bändigen; da war das Anleinen am vorhandenen Halsband schon schwer - solche Hundebesitzer werden ihre Problemchen bekommen. Zudem muss eine Pfote durch den Zwischenraum von Halsgurt und mittlerem Gurt geführt werden, da die hinteren Gurte nur auf einer Seite mit Schnappverschluss geschlossen werden. Man sollte seinen Hund vor dem Anziehen also erst einmal in eine ruhige Gemütslage versetzen, ansonsten kann es nervig werden. Was wir anfangs als eher witziges Detail abtaten, war der Tragegurt. Jetzt möchten wir ihn kaum noch missen. Da sie noch etwas ungewillt ist, ins Auto zu hüpfen, kann man sie nun einfach kurz wie einen Koffer auf dem Rücksitz parken. Beim gefürchteten Gang in fremde Gebäude ist sie so nun leicht auf den Arm zu heben. Und wenn das Gezerre an der Leine zu wild wird, wenn andere Hunde um sie herum sind, können wir ihr locker den Boden unter den Füßen wegnehmen, bis sie sich beruhigt. Dies mag natürlich nicht funktionieren, wenn der Hund seine 20-60 kg hat (kommt auf die dicken Arme des Besitzers an)... Auch kann dies bei Angstgestörten Hunden nicht die beste Methode sein, "Hürden" zu überwinden, da sollte man lieber erziehungstechnisch hin arbeiten - bei unserem Mädel funktioniert es prächtig - gezwungen zu werden und dann zu merken, dass keine schlimmen Erlebnisse darauf folgen. Mittlerweile folgt sie uns freiwillig in unser Haus und in verschiedene Räume ohne getragen zu werden. Wer nun meint, der Preis sei nicht gerechtfertigt, sollte sich lieber mal überlegen, was ein "unsicheres" Geschirr an Folgen nach sich ziehen kann: Unfälle bei einer Flucht können beim Tierarzt mit teuren Operationen enden, schlimmstens mit dem Tod des Tieres. Wenn man seinem Tier nicht 100%ig vertraut, es ausreißt und jemanden beißt (vor allem Kinder) kommt hier noch eine rechtliche Komponente ins Spiel. Unfälle im Straßenverkehr können nicht nur das Tier, sondern auch Autofahrer, Radfahrer und Fußgänger verletzen. Man kann für einen Hund aus dem Tierheim schon ca. 300 Euro Schutzgebühr hinlegen, für Rassehunde sogar vierstellige Beträge, also läuft man doch hinter einem stolzen Sümmchen her, wenn der etwaige emotionale Verlust nicht groß genug sein sollte. Wer sein Smartphone versichern lässt, kann doch sicherlich auch in diese physische "Versicherung" investieren. Also lieber etwas mehr hinblättern. Vor allem, wenn man hier noch in der Erziehungsphase steckt und das Hündchen noch nicht perfekt aufs Herrchen oder Frauchen hört.

Great ... For my little blue Bedlington girl and if looks really smart. She had Small before but the XS is better, the other two can downsize now as I find it pays to err on the smaller size with these if your dogs are slender build. The extra reflective strip over ordinary harnesses is great and saved on of my dogs when a lead hasp failed, as the car driver saw her lit up like a Xmas tree! Great for winter and if hot in summer then I soak them in water as a cooling vest. Works a rest.
