They give ideas on different ways of putting clothes together - as well as prints and colours and what goes and what doesn't. But you need to try stuff on and see what works for you but be a bit experimental as well. There are certainly 'classic looks' that always work well but every gal knows she gets bored with her clothes/look and wants to try something new and I find these books help.
