Culligan ZeroWater Pitcher versus Other Pitchers
The design of the water pitcher has good durability. It is a bit heavier than my Brita pitcher. From many different water pitchers, this one has a TDS meter that detects the condition of the fresh water source. If its zero, or close to zero, it is safe. If it is over +300, then it is not drinkable. The device is AAA-battery powered and removable from the pitcher, so you can safely dip it on any fresh water. The sliding compartment on top of the pitcher to pour water is much simpler than Brita's design pitcher. Whenever I closed the Brita pitcher, it always make a "tak" sound. The Culligan does not do that. Culligan's filter is the most unique than any other filter including Brita. Of course, when I first bought it, I was astonished of its large size but for a reason of its purpose. In the interior of the filter, it has many different layered components to remove most of the bad stuff just as it is shown in their product box. The overall price cost of this pitcher is affordable to my account. Comparing to Brita's price cost is much higher than Culligan. The replacement for the Culligan filter is around over 30 dollars or higher depending if you're getting by two, three, four, or six in a single box. In my opinion, I would definitely choose this product than any other. Brita is okay as it filters most of the bad stuff and its TDS meter level shown was above 10 and below 20. But Culligan helps to filter out more than Brita or any other pitcher product. I only used this product for a few weeks. The filter is still good so far. No changes yet as it is still brand new when I bought it. Been only using it to filter water bottles and water gallons. I tried filtered tap water once. I was astonished how it becomes drinkable. I have read comments from other reviewers that they experience that their filters did not last long between a few weeks to a couple of months depending of their own water resources. I will continue and observe my own product. I may update my review again if any changes of the filter.

Depending on the quality of your tap water will determine how often you have to change filters
Does what it's supposed to do. Only downside is that if you have water with a high amount of TDP's like I do, you are going to need a new filter ever 2 to 3 weeks. I used the removable TDP meter that comes with the pitcher (handy feature) and measured my water against tap water (over 400 TDPs) and distilled water (O TDPs). I then checked it against the carbon filtered named brand pitcher I had been using and found that the TDPs were only reduced by 1/2 with a new filter in it. I bought this pitcher because it was becoming increasingly difficult to find filters for the name brand pitcher I had been using for a couple of years. I don't know why, but Kroger, Ace Hardware and even Wal-Mart were not stocking them. Bought this reverse osmosis pitcher and it makes my tap water suitable for use in my cpap machine in an emergency. It registers 0 TDP but I have no idea what other chemicals may still be in the water. The taste though is great. Some people say it is bland. I don't drink water for taste, I drink it to hydrate. The lack of taste means to me that the job is getting done removing chemicals and TDPs. The downside is that I get 2 to 3 weeks out of a filter. This is due to the hardness of our local water and the high TDP count. It's unavoidable. I buy the filters by the 3 pack. The trade off between buying bottled water and having my own pure water at home is worth it. I do not mind changing the filter ever 3 weeks. However, if you are extremely budge conscious and living in an area with a high TDP count, you may not think it's a fair trade off. This pitcher, and the reverse osmosis process, deserve the 5 stars even with having to change filters frequently. The removable TDP meter is a nice feature.

Works Well But Price Increased
I used to buy spring water at the market and dreaded the routine of making another price-comparison, lugging and storing heavy water bottles and recycling bulky empty ones. Then one day, my neighbors gave me a Culligan water dispenser with a filter and explained how to use them. The filtered tap water looked clear, had no chlorine smell and it tasted sweet. Furthermore, I lost a nagging concern about ingesting permanent micro particles from manufactured plastic bottles! Today, I lavishly use this convenient water filtering system to cook, drink, water houseplants, rinse my hair—everything. I ordered a three-pack and have yet to see any price breaks on the filters and the Amazon price for the 3-pack filters recently increased by $10. Two quick maintenance tips: The top section, where you add tap water to the dispenser should be removed and routinely sterilized at a sink. And avoid pouring tap water directly on the filter.

Water TASTES GREAT, Filters - Short Life
Does the job, but you can't use them for a very long time...maximum time is about 10-12 days. I try not to empty the container too often (mainly use for cooking and making lemonade, also rinsing off fruit/vegetables) because the more you have to refill the container the more the filter is introduced to bad water and that lessens the ability for it to last longer. I had one to last only 7 days and I was perplexed, but then I was emptying it also every day for "drinking water." I decided that I couldn't do that anymore because I couldn't afford to keep up with buying NEW FILTERS weekly. It's sad to say that the WATER TASTES GREAT, too, but I had to go back to buying my favorite tasting bottled water...you can't win for losing. I found that letting the faucet run "cold water" for about 1-2 minutes before filling my measuring cup to transfer to the Water Container, also helps to make the filter not have to work so hard because of running off perhaps some of the impurities of the faucet water that's been sitting in the pipes before opening up the flow of water from the faucet. The Culligan Brand is a Great Brand for filtering Water and I am glad that I decided to buy the ZeroWater Technology Filter System and Container and Filters.

I come across these by searching on google! Why is it that when you look for a filter that removes flouride ..and a filter as good as this you can't see it in suggested/ recommended?? It's a shame more people dont know about this. I bought this because the usual brand i use stopped doing prime deliveries and they kept running out of stock a few times so thought best for a change and im not disappointed one bit. The taste of this wager is far superior to any bottled water I've had and it's clean and healthy. Im happy that my kids dont have to drink dirty water out the tap as we know it's a big 1st world problem. It does everything I need it to do and it looks stylish! Im just sad I didnt see this sooner. Culligan need to make the point this removes flouride on their box. but that's the only issue I have. Culligan you need to shout it from the roof tops!!!! It's a big deal!!!! Massive selling point!!! I dug around their website to find everything it removes. Ill post it with this message. Besides this it's very easy to use and lasts a long time and doesn't leak. There's a meter that attaches to tell you how clean your water is. But you have to go to the website to understand it better

Ridiculous

Does not last anywhere close to advertised. After a week of modest use, the filtered water begins to taste sour, indicating failure of the filtration leeching through.
