We never had issues with the hands and only needed to replace the batteries once in the 4 years it was up.We just moved and left it at our old place. We did go to remove it but it was ripping off paint so we left it hoping the next people enjoy it as much as we did. For those who say it doesn't stick well, maybe you have the wrong wall material because ours stuck so we'll it was impossible to take off without ruining the wall!I'm currently buying a new one for this place!
