This was not a cheap replacement so I was expecting good performance (up time) from the battery however it was really disappointing I just assumed it was normal and put it down to a poor product all be it that it functioned. However after a couple of months the battery would no longer take a charge I contacted the seller and was offered a replacement free of charge. I installed the replacement last night and straight away the performance difference was obvious the laptop ran for several hours on first charge. I have since charged the battery from flat and it has taken over two hours to fully charge much better the original one I was sent. The seller was quick to apologise for the faulty battery and replace was sent out free of charge you can not ask for much more than that. Highly recommend. only reason its not five start is that the original battery was faulty. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality compatible replacement *by X***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 April 2019* I will admit to a degree of apprehension given that there is are lots of cheap clone battery packs available these days and many are either poor performers, dangerous or both. Swayed by not wanting to spend £130 on a genuine Apple pack inc. fitting (latter not needed as I have been working with laptops/notepads for decades) for an older model (still very capable but with available capacity falling below 3000mAh) I decided on this pack and in summary - so far so good.Likes - the pack seemed as well constructed as the original Apple pack (also made in China btw) and although that is no measure of cell or control electronics quality it is a good sign. Equally pleasing was the inclusion of two screwdrivers (one just the right size for the case screws and one less common tri-wing for the battery). The pack dimensions and mounting lug spacing were also good and the pack slipped easily into place. Just 15 minutes and all was fitted and the case closed up. 35% charge in the shipped pack was plenty to boot up the mid-2012 13" Macbook Pro.Dislikes - lack of any instructions. There is plenty of information on the 'net, of course, but this isn't the cheapest of clones and a sheet of basic information would have been good to save an hour trawling though the myriads of web sites to find an authoritative source and especially to remind and guide one that after fitting there is a calibration procedure to be carried out to get the best out of the battery pack.Conclusion - I am quite pleased. Easy fitting, no issues, and after the calibration procedure a very creditable 6172 mAh measured capacity. Of course, long term life cannot be assessed as yet but we shall see. I don't expect quite the number of charge cycles as a premium Apple quality pack but at this price point I am satisfied with that. Remember also - dispose of your old pack responsibly - I'm off to find out where to dispose of mine! ### ⭐⭐ Lasted just over a year before dropping to current 1.5hr max capacity. *by M***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 August 2020* It worked well for about 4 months giving around 4hrs life, but started losing charge thereafter. It never gave anywhere near Apple's claimed life of 7hrs under normal use for OEM batteries, however neither did the original Apple battery. Now, just over a year and ~350 recharge cycles it's down to 4480mah capacity (75% of claimed max capacity). See attached screen grab from MacOS System Report. MacOS tells me to "Service Battery". This seems to be code-phrase for "Your battery is well on the way to being poked". It now lasts about an hour and a half from a full charge for light loads, but intensive CPU and network use will kill it in less than an hour. Disappointing but not immediately catastrophic. You get what you pay for.
