Again I’m not sure if it was necessary but that’s what I did. It only took a couple hours. **Q: Is it the correct size for flip 4? does it have any voltage problems? i'm asking because the original battery is 3000 mah, not 4000** A: Great battery for flip 4. 4000 mah give 25 % more of music time. **Q: Why 4000 mAh instead of a 3200 that is original? Removing the cover with the tool, is very difficult...you need something that won't damage the body, yet is thin enough to remove the speaker cover. The hard part is pulling out the old battery, because it expands over time and is in tight. But if you have needle nose pliers, it can be removed with a little bit of strength.
