Reliable, Quiet & Easy-to-Install Circulator Pump
This Taco 007-F5 circulator pump works excellent and has been very reliable. Installation was straightforward, and it started working perfectly right away. It runs quietly, provides consistent hot water circulation, and noticeably improved the heating performance in my system. The build quality feels solid and durable, and itโs a great replacement for older or failing pumps. If you need a dependable circulator pump for a boiler or hydronic heating system, this is definitely a great choice. Highly recommended for both homeowners and professionals.

Great price for this pump.
Great price for this pump. Had to replace the one on our boiler system in a pinch. That was 4 years ago. It's still working quietly.

Solid pump for the money
Let me preface this review by stating that today is Sunday and I ordered this pump at 10:44 this morning. It was on my doorstep before 6:00 this evening, which I think is pretty good for a six dollar fee. I installed this pump as a replacement for a Grundfos UPS 15-42F. The old pump was damaged when the hi-limit on my aquastat went out and caused my boiler to overheat the system. I realize that the curves of these two pumps are quite different, but this unit was all that was available for same day shipping. With overnight temps in the twenties and an infant in the house, I just needed something to push hot water through my baseboard radiators. This unit works exactly as advertised, but there are a couple of things that aren't quite as nice as the Grundfos it replaced. The first thing I noticed was the noise. It is basically a non-issue as this lives in the basement, but I can hear it over the boiler when I am in the room. When the Grundfos was on, I had to put my flashlight to the pipe and my ear to the flashlight to hear the pump running. That being said, the Taco runs at almost double the RPM, so it is basically a null argument. The other thing I liked about the Grundfos was that the bolts were entirely captured in the bolt holes. This Taco unit only has ears on the flanges. This was only mildly unsettling because the Taco is about 3/8" of an inch shorter than the Grundfos. However, once aligned and tightened down, it shows no sign of leaks. I would not hesitate to recommend this pump to anyone. Taco seems like a good, honest American company with a solid reputation. The build quality seems to be in line with other pumps in it's class. I hope it provides me with many years of service, and I hope it does for you as well.

Great product generates huge savings for DIY'ers
Boiler radiant heating system went down last winter and repairman said it was bad pump....wanted $1700 to fix....couldn't afford that so had him wall off that pump and we lived without that zone for rest of winter while saving for repair....then I began looking into doing repair myself The Taco pump replaces the exact same item that failed...info I found on web said that is always good idea. Part was listed at $700 by repairman....I got for just over $100 from Amazon....so savings are huge just for part. Works great so far and shipping was quick. As for install....well trial and error was the key. I couldn't figure out how to keep air from getting in system during install.....there is some kind of a a switch or intake valve I just couldn't find....and right after install (very easy step) the pump knocked badly and then wouldn't seem to work....(I think it was "air bound") I finally tried draining the water & air in just that zone and tons of gook came out along with the water....then let boiler send water to just that zone...and it worked....opened up all the rest of the system valves and now have heat throughout As you can tell I'm a non-expert handyman....but willing to try. The Internet has great information....and even though I couldn't understand all of it at first...through good old trial and error I figured it out and saved $1500. Need to understand what each pipe does in system to make it work (feed vs returns). It took a couple of days but was well worth it. Good luck

exact replacement
The circulator pump on my in floor heating started making some bad grinding noises after nearly 20 years of operation and I was happy to find this exact replacement on Amazon. Locally these were about twice the cost so I saved some money right up front and since they are so easy to install (four bolts), I was able to install it myself. It came with the necessary o-rings so there are no leaks. Just make sure to shut your furnace down a few hours before installing so that it gives the water a chance to cool down! Super happy with this purchase.

Taco pump is the real deal
Had this Armstrong pump that I replace 2x and kept leaking from bearing housing and failed to startup up so loud sound like Diesel tractor at night. So wanted to change something different and after reading some reviews on Amazon I bought this Taco 007 F5 , when it arrived I taught it was a mistake before of how small it was after removing old Armstrong and compared flanges and ports was very similar in size so I proceed to swap. Flanges bolted up to the old Armstrong25 flange with was amazing it came with 2 gaskets another plus I bought extra gasket and flange but didn't need it. Pump did not come with wire diagram so to be sure took me a little while to figure out. But yellow wire to black wire from outlet White to white wire from outlet. After that refill and away it goes it is so quite from what am use to that I get up at night to go check if it's working because I can't hear it so smooth and quiet I love this brand. Also it was shipped locally so arrived in 2days . Recommended 100% thanks Amazon and Taco ๐ช

Quick replacement
Exact replacement for my furnaces old pump but the new motor does not have enough impedance to work with the digital programable thermostat. I had to reconnect the old electric motor to get it all to work.

Mounting flanges not as in picture
Our outdoor wood burning furnace circulating pump quit, our local HVAC company could not get us a circulating pump, but Amazon could! We ordered the same model number as on the old pump. The new one arrived, but was not exactly as the picture, nor as the original. The flange openings were from the top, not from the side, see how the motor we received is standing up (so to speak), where as the one in the picture is laying down. Was able to install it, with a bit frustration and cursing.. had to move the entire set of pipes out to make room for the power supply tucked in at the back.. what should've taken 5min took an hour or more to do. The instructions said could be mounted vertically but requires 20 psi of pressure.. unsure where or if the pressure will come from as it is not a pressurized system, but seems to be working after a week.
