Franklin Sports Batter And Fielder Multi-function 4-in-1 Pitching Machine

Our grandkids (and sons too) loved this. Be sure and order the extra balls from Amazon (good price) to keep from having the chase so many balls. I recommend it highly to teach little ones to hit, catch, and get grounders. FUN!! One of the critical reviews was that the balls don't consistently come in the same place. That's good to teach the kids not to swing at everything that comes at them. We paid our granddaughter (age 5) $1 for every 10 she could hit. We had to stop it at 50. Her 2 year old sister had fun just retrieving the balls and putting them in the holder. It was worth the money.

Great set for kids to practice both batting and fielding. Hours of fun for all ages

Good product depending on what you use it for. I use it to help kids with special needs learn to catch and they use it to knock things over. I didn't find it reliable being used for it's real purpose which is to pitch balls. They don't come straight enough. Also, I wouldn't but another one used. The motor was that strong.

Def knew it was a used item, but no mention of missing parts = shorter stand stem and ground stakes. Still works fine, but a bit disappointing.

I read all the reviews before purchasing this for my five and three year old. For the price, it is excellent. As some people said, at times, it is not always accurate especially on a windy day, but what do you expect with wiffle or dimple balls that are light weight. Both my boys very much enjoy this. Even my three year old likes to try to hit them. Great buy for the price but as other's have said, not always accurate in the pitch, but I think you would know that when you are playing with wiffle/dimple balls that are so light weight.

product throws the balls at completely different speeds, which makes it really hard for a 3-4 years old to stand in one place and expect anything close to a strike. Considering you need to get the kid ready and focus, not getting the ball at the right place, or nearby is a waste of time. And when he gets maybe 2 or 3, you ran out of balls, as there are only six, so you need to reload and start all over. Do not recommend

Although every pitch isn't perfectly straight, that's the reality when playing so I feel it gives my kids practice watching the balls and the pitches aren't off by much. It holds 5 balls and gives enough time to prep for each pitch. I love that it can also help with fielding as it has different settings. It's best to use when it's not windy as the wind carries the light wiffle type balls off course. Overall it's great for kids who are learning to bat and field. My son (6) and daughter (8) both like it

First, it seemed to be just thrown into a box with no packaging or instructions. It looked like it had been used before and was all scratched up. I've noticed by reading other reviews of "Franklin Sports" products, that other people have mentioned that the items appear to be used when received. Besides that I was a little disappointed. It is definitely not consistent in throwing so you are constantly moving to where you need to be to hit the ball after the ball is thrown which kinda defeats the purpose. For a younger kid, they can't figure out where to move each time so basically they are missing the ball each time and not learning to hit properly. It throws shorter or longer than the time before and sometimes to the side etc. The balls are cheap and flimsy. The throwing mechanism is a bit shoddy as well and takes forever. As far as a fielding device it is probably better as you can move to where you need to be to get the ball. Overall, for the price I would not recommend this product.

Does what it says. Can't really use it on windy days because the balls are plastic and it won't be accurate.

Didn’t shoot ball accurately. Hollow plastic balls only can be used and they don’t fly in the air correctly.. any wind sends them off path and even without wind the ball does not come straight out in line to hit. We tried all the settings (pop fly, ground ball, regular pitch) the machine is back in the box and doesn’t get used. Which is to bad because our son loves baseball and looked forward to having more practice

This pitching machine has already broke and its been just over a month since my kids received this as a gift from Christmas. Unfortunately, the return window has closed so I am stuck with a broken toy. The product seemed to perform well while it did work.
