OXO Good Grips Butterfly Mop

Love this - better than all the fancy new style mops. Easy to use , cleans well and doesn’t make a mess. Recommend this

I bought the mop to clean the floor tiles in my bathroom and kitchen. I had previously been getting down on my hands and knees to do it by hand so this is a welcomed improvement. For the price, (£12.00) this product looks good quality. The handle is steel and a good length for working with. The plastic parts are reassuringly chunky and the squeezing mechanism works surprisingly well. The fiber and foam mop part is held in place by a kind of velcro system where the "hooks" are molded into the base plate. In use, this works very well with no signs of it becoming detached. Overall I am quite impressed with this mop. My only reservation is that it's a complex mechanism with all the load-bearing parts made of plastic and there is an inevitability that something is going to fail sooner or later.

This is my third OXO Mop. I can highly recommend for durability (I did not buy another 2 because the others broke, it was more convenient to have 3), ease of use and value for money. I am an older lady with limited mobility and find this mop extremely efficient.

What a cleverly and carefully designed mop. Best on the market. They must have patents on this as don't think its been copied. DID NOT BEND BACK ONCE IN USING THIS GEM ON A FILTHY FLOOR WITH ENCRUSTED DRIED ON DIRT. PROS: 1. The mop heads are sturdy and either padded or foam filled, but not too thick so can fit under tight spaces. Also are a little smaller than base so can give good softer clean along edges. 2. Mop heads fix to base by simply throwing head on floor with cleaning side on floor, then place base onto mop head. 3. Light plastic liquid container is easily removed, filled, returned. How great to avoid those noxious prefilled pads. 4. Floor needed some dried on sticky stuff removed. With gentle foot tap of a lever scrubbing pad slipped out. Sprayed are with cleaning liquid and scrubbed. After use scrubber is easily slipped back into its housing and hidden away. 5. Mopped floor, spraying areas with cleaning liquid when needed. Peeled off mop head and attached clean one, mopping up with clean water as desired. Mop heads I thow in washing machine. They cost about same as about a dozen disposal wipe. sSeems most friends don't bother with the pure water mop but I'm lazy and think the water clean off of any residual detergent results in extension of time between mops. I go days without mopping... Well more than days sometimes, dirty me. I am so happy to have found this gem that does away with both the need for those wipes that all give off sents that irritate my lungs a nd also the need for a bucket and mop.. Even a bucket with wringing/centrifuging action is a lot of work/storage. And spray mops with the water in their poles are not as well weighted. CONS: None I can see or think of., I'll amend here if any come up I paid full price for mop and spare head and scrubber. Now I've used can see the spares are not necessary. I have no connection with this company. JUST LOVE TO SEE GOOD THINKING DESIGN. THANKS OXO.

I have three floors to carry up a mop and bucket so this is the best solution ever. The scrubber attachment isn’t the best idea, but I don’t use that much, and I’ve also not worked out how you actually clean that. But this is a great purchase which makes my life a whole lot easier. Super light to hold and just chuck the mop attachment in the washing machine. Awesome so far. December 2020 So further on from my initial review, I’m regretting buying this. It doesn’t clean as well as I’d hoped. Even if you clean every day, it still requires a lot of effort to remove debris from the floor and with two children, cats and gardening, it just isn’t a viable option so I’m not happy with the purchase I made. The mop doesn’t get in the corners so you have to get into them with paper towel or a brush etc otherwise there’s a dirty rim. Also I’ve notice that it leaks. I can’t add a good amount liquid to the bottle unit as it just comes out. I would ideally want to put in hot water but this doesn’t work as it just creates a vacuum. So my floor is never completely clean. I still can’t work out how to clean the scrubber section which is a non-starter as a remover of difficult stains so again I have to use another kitchen applicance to remove that. So on the whole, not impressed. Bought to assist as I’m disabled. It doesn’t assist and really would like it to be taken away and get my money back.

Edit: IT WAS MISSING A PART! Wondered why there was a thread and no cap for the liquid repository. Unfortunately they don’t supply just the cap, so I had to have the whole mop replaced. I got it at £5 off and deliberated about this purchase for a while before that. Decent, spray has a short focused range. Downside: for this price it should have an adjustable length, but it does not. Haven’t had the opportunity to use the mini scrubber thing.

Really handy, always ready when I need it without having to fill a bucket of water. Doesn't drench the floor either. Like the extra scrubbing brush

Mop is light and easy to use. Have used on tiles and laminate without problems. Mop head rotates so that you can get into corners. Bottle is easy to fill and the spray gives plenty of liquid to clean but not too much, so the floor dries quickly. Mop head is easy to clean in the washing machine. It has a hook so that you can hang it up, although it would be nice if you could make the mop head lie flat for storage.

Me encanta este mop. No lo ocupo para trabajo pesado solo para dar una pasada ligera y mantener limpio el piso todo el dia.

Nunca había utilizado una fregona de este tipo, pero debido a un problema de artritis en las manos, me cuesta muchísimo la acción de escurrir, de manejar cubos de agua, etc. por lo que me puse a mirar otras opciones. Elegí la marca Oxo porque tengo varios productos de la marca y tienen una calidad impresionante. Y no me arrepiento, es una verdadera maravilla, nunca he tenido el suelo tan limpio , lo deja sin ningún tipo de ralla, seca súper rápido, no gasta casi detergente y es mucho más higiénico que fregar con un cubo de agua que al final se pone sucia y acabas fregando con agua sucia. La recomiendo totalmente.

This is good quality, as I'd expect from OXO. It's easy to use. Easy to squeeze. Cleans as you'd expect from a sponge mop. The handle looks sturdy. Good buy.

El producto muy bueno, pero pésimo el empaque por parte de Amazon. Se rayó todo el producto. Una pena que algo tan bueno, lo empaquen tan mal
