Great value
I purchased this & a cpl other horror type movies, bc I felt like I haven't really been in the " Halloween spirit " yet & thought I'd watch some films I haven't seen. This dvd set arrived in brand new, sealed condition, fulfilled by prime. I opened it & was about to pop in the first disc & thought to myself, " hm, wonder how they managed to squeeze four movies onto each disc... " well, once the opening credits for the film i chose were done, I got my answer. The movies are compressed somehow ( I'm not a " cyber expert " ) & that's how they've fit so much into a small 5 dvd set, with 4 films per disc. The video quality, is kinda like if you turn your cable TV to one of the SD channels now, if that makes sense. It's not terrible & the movies are definitely still watchable. & i kinda don't mind given the value, but I am knocking one star off for that. I don't have any sort of fancy setup, just a regular 3 year old HDTV, not 4k or anything, but it still stands out. Im taking a second star off because there are no subtitles provided. Subtitles can't possibly take up much space on a DVD, & I'm sure are included if you were to purchase each film individually. I've read articles that quote surveys that over 50 % of ppl watch movies with subtitles nowadays. There's really no reason any dvd shouldn't have them included. In fact, there's even a line in Hostel Part 1, " how the . Are we supposed to watch this with no subtitles ? " Speaking of Hostel, I wanted to note that the references in other reviews about the violence, etc in this films in this set, are in reference to Hostel Part 1 & 2 ( Director's Cuts ) that are not only included, but the first 2 movies on disc one of this set. These two films are alot more violent & contain alot more " adult content " then the other 18 films in this set. It seems like many ppl are just popping in disc one of this set, completely unaware of the content in these films. So just a heads up to anyone reading, that you should glance at a review or something before watching those movies, because they are definitely not for everyone. All in all, I'm content with my purchase. The slightly lower video quality sorta brings me back to my teen / young adult years, picking out random horror movies on vhs from the bottom floor of a Blockbuster & staying up super late watching them with friends.

Good movies great price
I like watching movies on my old CRT and flat screen, they look great on both and play flawlessly on both connections. Only downside is that there is no subtitles for any of the movies, there is some foreign movies that are dubbed in English but still no subtitles. Also something else to note is that they’re all wide screen. But 20 decent horror movies for this price, you can’t go wrong
