Attach 3.5-12v (transformer or battery) to red and black to give it the power to work. Clicking the remote will make a connection between the other two wires and can handle anything upto 24v. I bought it because I have ancient garage doors with only a wall-push button open/close. Now I still open/close with the wall button or use the remote from my car. Works like a charm. Somebody wrote you must solder; you could but I only used screw type wire connectors: no soldering needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Needed to troubleshoot, could use better diagram *by Z***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2019* The media could not be loaded.  So as a complete amateur with a vague semblance of electronics from 10 years ago, this product is fantastic - if it had clear directions. But it works at the end, I just had to wind up getting out a multimeter to see what was going on with the blue and yellow wires. I added a slight update to the first wiring diagram. For the amatuer, ignore the second or third diagram. They lead to a lot of frustration and made the project over complicated.In the end, momentary mode works great for the application. And if you want latching mode, just buy a different transmitter. They have one here, just with a different remote.This could be done cheaper and could be done simpler as mentioned elsewhere, and that's where the pros come in. They don't need the directions. So as it stands the product doesn't satisfy either intended consumer, but that could be changed with better documentation.Anyways, I got it to work, and the result is actually really cool.
